Got in late but 10 on sticking the landing. Almost like they’ve done it before.
Another flawless launch.
All happens so normally now.
Still amazing seeing those boosters land vertically. All happening in just minutes.
gosh, how many are out there now?
Don’t want to be very late. But as noted, the reliability of this launch system is such that it’s almost boring. I don’t even have to watch the screen to say the same steps during the flight as the announcer, at the same time. What a great time to be alive!
But I miss the old RUDs. Sometimes I replay that 1970s Delta kaboom at the Cape. Wrecked the paint jobs on cars parked miles away. Spectators ran as they thought for their lives. I guess I’m a sadist, deep down.
I was going to be all fancy with my YouTube template. Didn’t have time. Had just settled into the recliner and had YT up on the Roku, saw the live coverage, it was already under 4 minutes, so I thought, “I’ll have time.” Realized just right that I wouldn’t be able to finish, and there were 25 seconds to go when I got the topic up. Whew.
The other day the same guy made a reference to the Ariane 6 launch of some Leo sats, and I didn’t see any replays. Just said it again a few minutes ago.

“Live: SpaceX launches 29 Starlink satellites aboard Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida”. Going to look and listen a little bit.
Ah, here it is:

Well, having worked on the shuttle for 36 years and seeing numerous other vehicles go up (and quite a few not make it), if you’re working them, they are never boring. LOL!
north of 10K. About 1000 have been deorbited. First launched in, hmm, 2019.
I’ve seen countless booster landings and I’m amazed every time. It never gets old for me.
AMAZING!!!!!
I see people talking about seeing trains of them, and I’ve always wanted to, but I guess here just outside of ‘Metropolis’ I never will.
Back when Skylab was aloft, the weathermen would sometimes mention when it would passing overhead after dark, and it was easy to spot out here in The Boonies.
I’ve seen people give instructions as to where to look and when, but it would be a real longshot here.
For all us OLD GUYS, this is Buck Rogers!
We think alike.
As long as we don’t have an Emperor Ming out there confronting Musk...
