🚨 do you understand what New York City just accidentally admitted..
NYC spent $81,705 per homeless person last year.. the median American household earned $81,228.. the government spent MORE to keep someone homeless than most families earned to keep themselves housed..
that $81,705 isn't going to the homeless person.. it's going to the system around them.. shelters, administrators, case managers, contracts, overhead.. the industry that manages homelessness.. not the end of it..
if NYC gave every homeless person that money directly.. they could afford nearly 2 years of rent.. most of them wouldn't be homeless anymore..
instead the money goes to the system.. the system keeps running.. the homelessness stays.. and every year they ask for more funding to manage the problem that the funding was supposed to solve..
the homeless are worth $81,705 a year to the system.. they're worth nothing to it solved..

They ever find out what happened to the $800 million De Blasio gave his “wife” ?
Turns out maintaining fake poverty is a lot more expensive than the real thing would be.
The primary function of government is the redistribution of wealth.
That’s what most government services by contract are really all about - feeding the non-profit government services industry, as, worse than government employees they - the non-profit services sector, become the top political advocates for, and continued recipients of, most of the government services dollars; which they recycle back to the politicians promoting those programs via campaign contributions to them - its all a racket.
Meanwhile we have vets sleeping in the streets.
I live in an apartment so I am homeless (and houseless) and want my government money. /S
Shooting them would be far cheaper, along with every illegal.
Well it’s a nice way for Democrat politicians to make millions of dollars.
It’s one reason they run for office.
The primary function of government is the redistribution of wealth and power to the friends and neighbors of the people in government.
Its no secret the left creates crisis to “fix” it….the fix is always flawed and expensive.
I’m not sure the money would go to rent. The Homeless would probably spend it on drugs and/or booze.
But it IS true that having it go the the Welfare-Poverty complex will never fix the problem. Even worse, it keeps Leftists warm & comfortable. A lot of it also gets laundered back into Dem political coffers.

There is a quick and easy solution, and it would feed the world’s hungry: Soylent Green...
Not defending New York’s use of the money, but sadly, if you gave a lot of the homeless the money directly, it would be spent on drugs in a very short time.
they shouldn’t be “given” anything except an offer to work for food from the government on some menial job

SHEESH! Think I’ll go homeless!
