IRGC: US, Israel, UAE, etc.: Nuts!
All: Have it your way. 82nd AB and USMC steady as you go (2Kharg?).
Iranian people: Keep hitting IRGC. We want them dead. "Compassion" junkies: STFU and go away.

All the lessons we learned in Iraq will be applied here. If the IRGC wants to send their men to die as cannon fodder so be it.
If the lessons of Iraq are any guide, we will have an Iranian ayatollah elected President of the United States in 2028. :-P
I think this is about the only way to mop this up. Take over Kharg island and choke out the remaining IRGC.
IRGC has no choice. If they accept 15 conditions, they are out of power and will be hanged by the new regime. Iran mullah regime is between a rock and a hard place.
On the down side, as we know most wars do not turn out the way the planners envision them:
100,000 ground troops
10-year quagmire, or more
10,000 American dead
$10 trillion spent
$250 oil
60% drop in markets
Global recession lasting years
Democrats rule for decades
Just praying and hoping our leaders know what they’re getting into. The muslim lunatics are fighting in terms of centuries, not weeks or months.
Vietnnam, Gulf War, Iraq, Afghanistan now Iran. Same line of crap, different decade.
“On the down side, as we know most wars do not turn out the way the planners envision them”
I still remember the dire predictions about the forever war in Venezuela.
Trump has crossed his Rubicon. Unless there is regime change and the uranium secured, this war will be a colossal failure. Sadly it will require American boots on the ground, hard fighting and casualties. Either way the demonic, lunatic Democrats will try to ride the backlash ( there is always a backlash against the party in power when they get Americans involved in yet another foeign entanglement) to power in 2026 and 2028. America will suffer.
Markets have already dropped considerably, except for energy and metals. Can hardly get worse (knock wood).
Dems are too stupid to win for an extended period. They always overplay their hand. Remember the Wellstone Memorial? The high-tech 19th Century-style election fraud they’re about to try on? Illegal aliens can do no wrong? Oh, nobody’s eating cats and dogs, just occasionally running over 11-year-olds and raping and murdering little girls? So everything’s fine? Maryland dad?
Trump is not going to do a quagmire.
IRGC is hoping to use the same tactic as the Taliban did in Afghanistan - Get US ground troops to enter and then stage a guerilla war.
Mass application of disruptor and other secret equipment, followed by conventional target... booms rendering vivisections for allah. So be it. P-ss be upon them.
And I would argue that Vietnam became poorly prosecuted and ultimate lost because of liberals and the liberal media (See Woodward and CIA Bernstein). It was a naive time in our country where most Americans did not yet understand the evil deviousness of liberals and the abject bias of the media.
“All the lessons we learned in Iraq will be applied here. “
That kind of childlike faith is almost refreshing in today’s world! Yes... I am sure that a land war in Iran will go wonderfully, and we will be met by women bearing pistachios, and flowers.
Yes! Lest we forget, Iran fought the mighty Iraqi army for 8 years and ended up with a stalemate. And the mighty Iraqi army folded like a card table in 100 hours.
Thank you, AC, for remaining a rare voice of sanity here. I continue to be amazed at all the armchair Napoleons here who would so cavalierly send tens of thousands of our best young men and women to their deaths.
Vietnam was a great deal about LBJ and his Democrat big business friends getting wealthy off of government war contracts. It was not in their best interests to quickly fight a war and win it.
Hope is not a plan. US is not going to fall for the same trap five times.
I seriously doubt this “war” with Iran will last much longer...
Three words:
Twenty years, Afghanistan.
Just saying we’d better be careful.
