6 precision strikes in 24 hours target Bandar Abbas, sinking 11 Iranian warships and setting the 'Makran' base ship ablaze. U.S. forces cripple Iran’s economic lifeline and intercept critical missile fuel components from China.
(snip)
The timing of this massive assault appears linked to critical intelligence regarding supply routes. Reports reveal that two Iranian cargo ships, the Shabdis and the Barzin, were en route from a Chinese port to Bandar Abbas carrying sodium perchlorate, a key component for solid rocket fuel.
For Tehran, the need for these components has shifted from "urgent" to "existential" following heavy damage sustained by its missile arrays in recent strikes. The fact that China allowed these ships to depart despite the active military conflict has significantly increased tensions between Washington and Beijing.

Why would they be mad? It was an Iranian cargo ship and the perchlorate was probably paid for when it was loaded up at the Chinese port. The ChiComs will be all to happy to sell the ragheads another shipment.
So did the chems go boom or not?
The more we wreck non-military Iran, the greater the demand will be that sombody get in there and rebuild it. I’m not that concerned that other Mideast nations can or will finance the rebuilding, but I dread that it means that US contractors will have to be there for some number of years. And then US troops aka “targets” will have to be there to protect them.
Hmm. Ship full of concentrated rocket fuel oxidizer. Might blow up real good.
As Jerry once said “That’s a shame.”
I am going to assume it was a big bada boom!
“The ChiComs will be all to happy to sell the ragheads another shipment.”
+++++
Exactly.
Assuming the check already cleared. ;)
No boom (yet). One of them just exited the Malacca Strait, the other is about to enter. I predict they don't make it to Iran. If they are smart, they will seek refuge in a neutral port. If they are stupid, then boom it is.
Thanks for the update!
“So did the chems go boom or not?”
it would if the transport ships were really blown up: the article insinuated that they were “intercepted”, which could mean lots of things ...
Surely you jest..
Has anyone heard if the Iranian spy ship(s) that have been giving the Houthis targeting info in the Red Sea/Gulf of Aden acquired submarine status yet?
Dissolve in sea water, if you get my drift
