Most Christians will be aware that the JWs have a history of false prophesy, along with their false Christology.
Lots of historical details in this video. I find this fascinating.

The things about prophesy as they are usually vague enough to fit a whole bunch of situations.

Some of them went full SHTF. Never go SHTF. You are gonna pay the price.
Oddly, they can keep fleecing the marks like it never happened.

They don’t come around here anymore...I asked the boy to stay outside while I invited the girl to come inside the house.

Heck, our ‘klimate ree-searchers’ have more failed prophesies in much less time. And then we have the economic prophesies uttered by the matchless Nobel Economics Prize winner - Paul (missed it by that much)Krugman. Not defending the Witnesses, however. They’re just amongst a good sized group of folks who just have not quite dialed in the frequency.

According to Latter Day Saint theology, seer stones were used by Joseph Smith, as well as ancient prophets, to receive revelations from God.

Seventh day adventists are built on a false prophetess too - and Mormonism as well.

Recent reports show the number of Jehovah's Witnesses to be on the decline. This is said to be due to a couple of factors. The first is a series of lawsuits that caused the organization to cease from employing secrecy when disciplining members who are seen to have gone astray. The organizations one time ability to control people has decreased.
The second factor is they have relaxed the requirement on members in reporting the number of visitations they make, which was a means of advancing within the organization. Now there is not as much incentive to proselytize and a lot of Witnesses were demoralized by this.
My own thought is that the Witnesses have traditionally targeted the ignorant and uneducated. But now that information is so widely available online, it is easier to find well presented challenges to the Witnesses erroneous teaching and the history of the organization, especially it's long record of failed prophecies.
Another factor, of course, is the current trend across the board where people, especially the young, are less interested in religion in general, leading to a decrease in numbers all around.

7th day Adventists are based on the Bible. The world hates them because they follow God’s Commandments. The world hates God’s Laws.
