Racket readers know Gabe Kaminsky, who as a Washington Examiner reporter wrote a groundbreaking series called “Disinformation, Inc.” exposing funding of media blacklisting organizations by the Global Engagement Center, a wing of the State Department, since shut down in significant part thanks to his reporting.
Gabe’s new article describes concerns within the conservative world that Trump is becoming what he campaigned against. Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance promised to go after the “generous tax treatment” of “radical left lunatics” they say have fomented violence. If such investigations have to be launched by the IRS, any probe weighted toward the “lunatics” would automatically put the Trump White House in the same territory as one of the all-time conservative horror stories, the IRS targeting scandal in which Barack Obama’s revenue department disproportionately investigated Tea Party groups.

Does anybody seriously think you can reason with these people?
Anyone really think Trump is going to turn into a RINO smurf? Fighters gotta fight and Trump is a fighter.
There are real crimes being committed and investigations are necessary. The “progressives” Show Me the Man and I’ll Show You the Crime, is the line in the sand
But wasn't that line already crossed by the left, with the arrests and convictions of abortion clinic protestors who were just praying on the sidewalk?
Trying to understand
So the State Dept gave tax payer money to media sources that blacklisted organizations? Why were they black listed?
.
Isn’t “blacklisted “ somehow racist?
That is why we are where we are right now.
Not only no, but hell no.
If we do not fight, we will lose.
I'm going to find out.
The local representative is one of the many republican crossovers that helped block the effort to end funding of NGO's earlier this week. I sent the following in an effort to engage. We'll see. The last office holder response I remember contained nothing relating to the subject I was inquiring about. (He was not the same Republican)
According to published reports you and eighty other Republicans voted against eliminating funding NGO's (NED). I have two questions: Is this part of the alleged republican party revolt against President Trump?
If not, why did you take action that encourages weakening Conservative freedom of speech while strengthening the politically progressive's constant efforts to control the First Amendment?
Civil Rights, as I understand the subject, are products of positive law. At least that is what we are lead to believe; however the phrase 'civil rights' no longer is recognized as being a derivative of that root of civilization.
Rather, it is widely accepted to be legal rights designed to be focused on equality for the benefit of those who suffered; for example, a range of discrimination from a prior condition of servitude to those suffering from social stigma. Neither condition exists today except in the heads of democrats who, in case you haven't noticed, lead the way on such issues and use them to weaken your party. Looking forward to your reply, I am, John Ryan
