US forces on standby, Arab states of Gulf don't want USAF using their air space, therefore USS Abraham Lincoln has to reach striking distance. Israel did ask Trump to delay the attack, so that they can get ready for preemptive strikes from Iran and proxies. All options on the table for Trump "to stop the slaughter," not regime change. Demonstrations still ongoing.

Yes, he is giving them something to think about with this call. This is intended to give the people rising up some breathing room, because if the reime repeat their actions, Trump just might strike. Though I am hoping that this is to place Iran’s leadership in a sort of check condition to remain less bold with their response to the protestors. Trump still needs time to position the forces to make the stated promise have teeth.
The attempted civil war Mossad tried to start was thwarted when Iran used Russian tech to disable satellite and all other communication. Russia has signed a military treaty with Iran and giving them all sorts of advanced equipment along with China so Israel would be foolish to attack them now. And I sure don’t want the US involved in this mess.
