The Clintons have called what they feel is Comer’s bluff.
After months of dispute against House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, Bill and Hillary Clinton have today (13) REFUSED to testify in the House’s Jeffrey Epstein investigation.
This escalates the battle with Comer, Republican of Kentucky, and the former U.S. President and Secretary of State are effectively daring him to hold them in contempt of Congress.

The New York Times reported:
“’Every person has to decide when they have seen or had enough and are ready to fight for this country, its principles and its people, no matter the consequences’, the Clintons wrote in a lengthy letter to Mr. Comer, which was obtained by The New York Times. ‘For us, now is that time’.”
Unsurprisingly, the NYT report says Comer wants to force the Clintons to testify to deflect from Donald J. Trump, and ‘shift the spotlight onto prominent Democrats’ who associated with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell – which is the obvious case of Bill and Hillary.
Comer repeatedly threatened to hold them in contempt of Congress if they failed to appear for live depositions behind closed doors.
He set a deadline today (13) for Bill Clinton to appear, and Wednesday (14) for Hillary.
“But hours before the deadline, the Clintons made clear that they had no intention of presenting themselves on Capitol Hill to be questioned by Mr. Comer and members of his committee. They did so by submitting an eight-page legal letter laying out why they considered the subpoenas “invalid and legally unenforceable,” then followed up with a scorching missive that they signed jointly, promising to fight Mr. Comer on the issue for as long as it took.
In the letter, the Clintons noted that they had proactively provided Mr. Comer with sworn statements similar to ones he had accepted from seven or eight other former law enforcement officials he had also subpoenaed and then excused from testifying before the committee. The Clintons have repeatedly said they have no knowledge relevant to the investigation.”
Today, they went publicly to war against Comer and the whole Trump administration.

Nobody’s above the law. I’m pretty sure that be-otch said that several dozen times about Trump.
Given the Republican Congress’ history I don’t blame the Clintons.
I would be pleasantly surprised if anything happened to the Clintons on this one. Maybe the pubs will prove me wrong. Hope so.
Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro each spent four months in prison each for that.

Below is a link to the penalty for Contempt of Congress. The Clintons can pay the find from stuff found under sofa cushions. There’s zero possibility of them going to prison. Would the Secret Service go to prison to protect them? So, yeah, they can stall all they want.

That’s funny! There won’t be any consequences so what’s the point?
I’m betting nothing of consequence will happen.
Further demonstrating the uselessness of Congress and the fact that we don’t have double standards regarding the law, but no standards at all.
Let them do jail time like Peter Navarro did.

The democrats control Congress and some Republican defies them. Then that Republican will go to prison.
Every body dies. Satan awaites them in hell.
Threatening people everyone KNOWS are contemptible with contempt and they fight it as if they’re above such accusations. It must be like how Congressmen persist in calling each other “The Honorable....” when the most honorable people there are the cleaning staff.
I concur. There are only two paths forward at this point:
1. Republicans can find the balls to hold them both in contempt of Congress and do everything they can to make it stick and force them to see real consequences.
2. Republicans can give up entirely, never speak of the Clintons again, and make it a foregone conclusion that the dems will retake congress because it will be seen that the GOP has no power anyway.
I’m sure I don’t have to tell you which one I’d prefer, but unfortunately I don’t think that’s the one we’re going to get here.

Last week I heard one of the Robs on Newsmax asked him that question — not in those EXACT words. Comer muttered something. The only think I could understand was “Speaker Johnson”.
So we shouldn’t hold our breath for any justice. Anyhow, a Congressional hearing is useless. DOJ...
I’d rather they get their just dessert this side of the dirt.
