Our raid on Venezuela was a two edged sword. Pushing back against China in this hemisphere was much needed. Heads up Cuba. It is time to encourage republican government all over the western world. Eliminate marxism and democracy on a global scale.

In the final analysis, all that is going to matter is it will be 10 to 15 years before we see any more neodymium magnets, and the ugly consequences of that are going to be beyond belief.
Imagine American society with no electric motors. A return to AlNico requiring more copper windings and a great deal more amperage. Say goodbye to cordless drills, cordless saws, cordless anything with an electric motor.
Trump is a smart guy and he knows this is coming. There are two Chinese tankers enroute to Venezuela and he knew that he had to act now or endure the humiliation of those tankers docking and filling. This will take the attention off of them and probably preclude any media coverage of the vice president welcome ceremony for those tankers.
Most of Venezuela’s oil was going to China.
China is not our friend. Trump has to walk a tightrope because we rely on China for so many important things like pharmaceuticals and rare earth minerals. He is bringing their manufacture back to the USA, but it will take time.

Rolling up the Venezuela drug trafficking and cutting off oil supplies to China.
