A video exposing childcare centers in Minnesota that were allegedly involved in fraud has caused leftist Gov. Tim Walz’s (D) officials to go on defense.
A spokesperson for his office defended him and claimed the governor has long worked to stop fraud, Fox News reported Sunday.
“The governor has worked for years to crack down on fraud and ask the state legislature for more authority to take aggressive action. He has strengthened oversight — including launching investigations into these specific facilities, one of which was already closed,” the official said, adding Walz “hired an outside firm to audit payments to high-risk programs, shut down the Housing Stabilization Services program entirely, announced a new statewide program integrity director, and supported criminal prosecutions.”
In a social media post on December 18, the governor said, “We will not tolerate fraud, and we will continue to work with our federal partners to ensure fraud is stopped and fraudsters are caught.”
However, the news comes as citizen journalist Nick Shirley reports on the issue in Minnesota, claiming he and his team have uncovered massive fraud, Breitbart News reported Saturday. The outlet noted some of the places Shirley visited where alleged fraud occurred were daycare centers that reportedly received millions in federal aid but had no children at their facilities.

A 54-minute secret recording from a December 11, 2021, closed-door meeting inside Minnesota Democrat, Attorney General Keith Ellison’s, official state office is resurfacing amid explosive revelations that 70 Somali community members in Minnesota participated in stealing $250 million in federal COVID child-feeding funds. On the tape released by "American Experiment" earlier this year, Democrat Ellison sympathizes with, encourages, and ultimately promises assistance to a group of thieving Somali businessmen, many of whom would later be charged or convicted in the largest COVID relief fraud scheme in U.S. history.
The fraudulent Democrat operation, centered around the notorious nonprofit Feeding Our Future, stole an estimated $250 million tax dollars intended to feed poor children but instead thieving Somalis used the tax dollars to purchase luxury homes, foreign real estate, jewelry, and lavish lifestyles. The audio reveals Ellison mocking state agency oversight, vowing to “fight” on behalf of the very operators who investigators say were deeply involved in a web of wire fraud, money laundering, and fake meal claims across Minnesota.
Soon after ---- on December 20, 2021,---- Democrat Keith Ellison’s campaign and that of his Democrat son Jeremiah Ellison received Democrat campaign donations from fraud-ridden individuals linked to Somali Feeding Our Future billion dollar thievery of taxpayers.

Tim Walz is certainly involved in a number of aspects regarding the various frauds going on in Minnesota, but actually STOPPING the fraud, waste, and abuse is not his primary objective. Much of his effort is simply concealing the scope and methods used.
And the entire undertaking is HUGE, more than the gross domestic product of many small nations. Or some of the smaller states in the US.
