Rob Reiner’s troubled son Nick has been charged with murder after allegedly fatally stabbing the famed director and his wife, Michele, at their Los Angeles home, law enforcement sources said Monday.
Nick Reiner, 32, who spent years in and out of rehab for drug addiction, is in custody on $4 million bail, Page Six confirmed.

This is the tragedy of anyone who has child or other close family member who is a drug addict. What do you do when you’ve done all you can to help them and it doesn’t work. Its easy to say its time to cut them off and show tough love. But its hard to do in practice when your child is going to literally be homeless on the street. I am sure the Reiners went through this struggle. But by continuing to let him live in their house, they subjected themselves to the danger or a violent addict. They were blind to it as any parent would be.
Now, in Gruesome's Commiefornia, Nick will possibly spent years in prison for murdering his parents.
I don't disagree. Tough situation that many people have to deal with, too high a risk to have this in your home imho.

As Mark Twain once wrote, “the only legal defense he will have is to beg the court’s mercy as he is now an orphan”. I’ve dealt with people like this before, unreasoning, prone to violent fits, very distressed after they have done something bad when they were the ones who did it in the first place.
Karma is a screaming *itch. Don’t mess with it.
Also being a big lib, I wonder if he was tolerant of drug use and legalization, at least before his son got hooked on them.
He was also an open borders advocate while living behind "Large Gates" in an exclusive area.
For Reiner and his wife, the threat came from within his own family.
