Trump thrashes European leaders in wide-ranging interview: ‘I think they’re weak’
Politico ^ | 12/09/2025 | Alexander Burns

President Donald Trump denounced Europe as a “decaying” group of nations led by “weak” people in an interview with POLITICO, belittling the traditional U.S. allies for failing to control migration and end the Russia-Ukraine war, and signaling that he would endorse European political candidates aligned with his own vision for the continent.

The broadside attack against European political leadership represents the president’s most virulent denunciation to date of these Western democracies, threatening a decisive rupture with countries like France and Germany that already have deeply strained relations with the Trump administration.

“I think they’re weak,” Trump said of Europe’s political leaders. “But I also think that they want to be so politically correct.”

“I think they don’t know what to do,” he added. “Europe doesn’t know what to do.”

Trump matched that blunt, even abrasive, candor on European affairs with a sequence of stark pronouncements on matters closer to home: He said he would make support for immediately slashing interest rates a litmus test in his choice of a new Federal Reserve chair. He said he could extend anti-drug military operations to Mexico and Colombia. And Trump urged conservative Supreme Court Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas, both in their 70s, to stay on the bench.

Trump’s comments about Europe come at an especially precarious moment in the negotiations to end Russia’s war in Ukraine, as European leaders express intensifying alarm that Trump may abandon Ukraine and its continental allies to Russian aggression. In the interview, Trump offered no reassurance to Europeans on that score and declared that Russia was obviously in a stronger position than Ukraine.

Trump spoke on Monday at the White House with POLITICO’s Dasha Burns for a special episode of The Conversation.

“threatening a decisive rupture with countries like France and Germany”

We can hope.

We have no use for those parasites.

The current crop of European leaders are not weak — as long as they can show their “hideous” strength by jailing their own people for tweets and Facebook posts, bringing court complaints for opinions by a local populace which they dislike, and knocking effective candidates out of running for elections.

But they sure looked weak, gathered in front of the Resolute desk in the Oval Office sometime back.

The 3 Stooges are THE most unpopular leaders in their respective countries since polling began.

Think about that.

Please don't give the left new ideas for subsidizing chargers.

Europe right now, is no better than decaying rotting corpse.

Trying to prop it up will not get rid of the rot. Real change and a return to supporting their own countrymen over foreign invaders.

--- "Trying to prop it up will not get rid of the rot. Real change and a return to supporting their own countrymen over foreign invaders."

But first some "enemies" must be dealt with.

"Valérie Hayer, head of the EU Parliament's globalist Renew group, exploded in response, calling the U.S. analysis 'unacceptable and dangerous.' She even went so far as to brazenly label the Trump administration 'an enemy of Europe,'arrogantly claiming Washington has no business questioning the EU’s failed progressive agenda and increasingly authoritarian policies."

Source: Top Liberal-Globalist MEP: Trump Administration ‘an Enemy of Europe’ and ‘We Must Stop Behaving as a Friend Toward It’ Gatway Pundit, 7 December 2025

"Gerald Knaus, founder of the European Stability Initiative (ESI), a liberal Austrian think tank, also did not mince words about the American document. He called the U.S. 'a direct threat to European democracy and peace. And no longer an ally,' warning that the Trump administration's goal is to 'destroy the EU and NATO'."

Source: Transatlantic Tensions Surge After X Fine and Harsh New U.S. Security Strategy European Conservative, 6 December 2025.

The European Left -- costumed as if moderates, but corrupt and more corrupt -- are angry that these United States under President Trump are not doing what they demand we do. "Stability," to them, means keeping the money flowing and insuring they stay in their cosseted, comfy offices.

Some of the former Iron Curtain nations are worth saving, but the “old Europe,” as Donald Rumsfeld once called them, are on their own. Sink or swim with their climate netzero stupidity, incoherent foreign policy and unsustainable debt.

They’ve been weak for a long time. They are in the process of losing their countries to Islamic invasion now.

They are subservient to the NWO/WEF ultra wealthy pukes so yeah, they’re weak because they are bought and paid for. I believe they have been ordered to start WW3 in order to collapse the western world and to get rid of President Trump. I could be wrong but it’s currently looking pretty good for another WW.

The US funded this since WW2. We spent trillions defending Europe while they spent on social programs and mocked us and then when they felt gulity about having it good, they invited in the invaders to destroy it.

The EU/Ukraine axis has made a big mistake and Russia may take Odessa next and Ukraine will have no access to the sea. If so, that will be Russia’s response to the attacks on tankers. Odessa is very lightly defended, let’s see if the EU reacts and how.

Yes, they are weak but it’s also more complex than that. They are weak because they and their constituents embraced the idea of mass migration and, having been shown that it’s a disaster, cannot bring themselves to admit that they were wrong.
