Richard Gere opened up his piehole recently at the Guadalajara International Book Fair in Mexico and blasted President Trump by claiming he was "deeply ashamed" of him. He then went on to praise Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum for somehow being able to tame Trump as if he were some kind of wild animal. Mr. Gerbil is obviously completely ignorant of Mexican politics because Sheinbaum is now widely despised in Mexico because she has declared herself unable to do a thing to fight the cartels that plague that country. This attitude about Sheinbaum was on full display for Gere because a few moments after he slammed Trump the host of the show, obviously a political flunkie, praised Sheinbaum and how "proud" they were of her which elicited an extremely hostile reaction from the crowd much to the surprise of the Gerbil Man.

I am not defending her-perish the thought- but am just wondering what the truth is.
By the way Gere was shifting uncomfortably in his seat I’m sure his gerbil was upset by the crowd noise!

A man with no reason to be listened to. He was good looking. And probably slept his way to stardom. 2 years of college, many failed marriages. Lots of people who dislike him. He can’t really act or sing very well. His only skill is getting roles in some iconic movies. But he is never the one that makes them iconic. His acting is stiff. If you need a good looking guy who shows no emotion, he was your man. Now he is just old. Clint was that man but he could still act after his looks disappeared.

Why does anyone care what this college dropout has to say? All he does is pretend to be other people. He is literally a nobody parroting lines others have written...as he is doing now.

That stat was from BEFORE the brave Mexican mayor was murdered in public by the cartel for standing up to them. The same mayor who asked Sheinbaum for help to fight the cartel which she refused to do. Then after the murder of the mayor Sheinbaum declared herself unable to fight the cartels. "No es un opcion!"
As a result the Mexican public has turned AGAINST her and why she refuses to appear at public events because the booing would damage her fragile psyche.
Yet another example of how the Left, especially the Hollywood Left, is ill-informed on the issues. What makes Gere, or almost anyone else in Hollywood, qualified to speak on anything outside of their career, which centers on a make-believe existence.
