A notebook detailed alleged attack plans against University of Delaware police, including multiple references to "martyrdom."
A Delaware man has been charged with illegally possessing a machine gun after authorities uncovered a weapons cache and a handwritten manifesto referencing a University of Delaware police station and officer, according to a Dec. 1 release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Luqmaan Khan, 25, was arrested Nov. 24 after New Castle County Police officers found him parked illegally in Canby Park West late at night. Officers stopped his vehicle and, after he resisted arrest, searched the car. Inside, they found a modified Glock handgun with a high-capacity magazine, body armor, and a notebook laying out plans for potential attacks and how to avoid law enforcement detection.
According to University of Delaware Interim President Laura Carlson, Khan is a student at the school. Carlson also said Khan has been banned from all UD campuses.

We had a guy apply for an entry level engineering job at our company. At lunch someone asked the obligatory question “Where do you see yourself in five years?”
He said “I’m going to be CEO of this company!” There was an awkward silence as we looked around at each other.
That was the end of the interview.
It’s an iron clad guarantee that we will NEVER know his motive. I do wonder, however, if there is a mosque nearby?

I don’t think accurate to call him crazy. It’s more accurate, I think, to simply call him a very dedicated Muslim. Just as you would call an Auschwitz guard a very dedicated Nazi. Vile and evil. But not crazy.
