ZOHRAN Mamdani has won the mayorship of New York City, the most valuable metropolitan area in the world accounting for 4 per cent of American GDP, even though he promises socialism. In his acceptance speech, he thanked voters for ‘a mandate for change’ and ‘a new kind of politics’.
On one hand, Mamdani has benefited from a leftist shift beyond NYC. Leftists won most of the elections on Tuesday. (These elections are asynchronous with midterm and general elections, as chosen by the states.)
This shift is not necessarily personal. The nationally governing party is normally punished in local elections, despite the local remit. The timing is inconvenient for the Republicans, in the midst of a federal budget shutdown (now the longest on record) and a lagging economy (mostly a legacy of the Biden administration’s inflationary policies, but also the inflationary and disruptive effects of Trump’s tariffs).
Mamdani has benefited from conflicted candidates. The previous Mayor, Democrat Eric Adams, damaged tourism, the budget and public safety by doubling down on the city as a sanctuary for illegal immigrants, accommodated in ever more expensive hotels, some of which were damaged. Soon immigrants were camping on the street. Adams belatedly called for changes to the sanctuary laws, and reduced crime, but in the process he upset the left without repatriating the right.

Greedy, sicko New Yawkers deserve what the muzzie is going to give them. I’ll be laughing my butt off.
Hey, just because England is about to become the latest country part of Islam’s worldwide Caliphate under Sharia Law doesn’t mean more countries will fall into that ... or does it?
Didn’t a huge crowd of muslims gather to claim NYC for islam ?LOL
Huge crowd of Muslims gather to claim New York City for Islam…

What’s happening in New York right now has a lot of Americans on edge, and rightfully so. A massive group of Muslims gathered and publicly claimed the city for Islam. People who watched it unfold aren’t being “bigots” for feeling uneasy. They’re watching their country’s biggest city slip further from the culture that built it, just days after electing a Marxist mayor. A mayor who believes criminals are the “real victims” and police are the oppressors.
This is about assimilation, or the lack of it. NYC doesn’t belong to Muslims, and stunts like this don’t create peace or understanding. They create fear, resentment, and deeper divides. Imagine if Christians went to a MidEast capital and declared it “for Christ”; the outrage would be global.
This is the real problem in America right now. We’re not demanding people assimilate to western culture. We’re watching competing groups publicly reject the very culture that made this country so amazing and calling it “diversity.” A US Muslim Warns the people of America: “We Will Not Stop Until Islam Enters Every Home, Say it as if the Ummah Depends on This. There is no denying it; Islam intends to dominate all other people and religions.
Muslims claim New York for Islam. “We’re done hiding. We’re done. —This is the correct religion. This is the religion that all of humanity needs to be a part of Islam, and we will not stop until it enters every home. — I wanna hear it in every single district. It should tremble. Brooklyn should hear it. The Bronx should hear it. Queens should hear it. Say it as if the ummah depends on this, my brothers and sisters — There is no God worthy of worship except Allah — and final prophet, Mohammed.” We all knew what would happen if this Marxist won. Charlie Kirk knew and warned us about it before he was assassinated.
At the end of the day, anyone who comes to America has a responsibility, too. If you want to belong here, you have to appreciate what this country already is — not try to remake it into the place you left. That means respecting the people who built their lives here, learning the culture, and finding common ground instead of pushing separation. Assimilation isn’t oppression. It’s how a nation stays united. Without it, we’re just a collection of divided groups living on the same land — and that’s not a country, that’s chaos.
What qualifications does Mandani have to run a city the size of NYC ? Did another bother to ask that ?

NY City socialism for decades has existed almost solely from skimming from Wall Street and Fed.gov transfers
Conservatives needs to stop being spineless and MAKE SURE these sources of revenue do not fund Mamdani’s Marxism.
Cut off the parasites.
Exactly.
‘What qualifications does Mandani have to run a city the size of NYC ?’
None. The only thing he’s qualified to run is a falafel stand.
Stupid voters = Stupid politicians
Correct.
1. NYPD cops will quit
2. Crime will explode
3. Mamdani will institute muslim militia police “for muslim areas only”
4. These militia will spread into the other areas after a few months
A year from now, some muslim dude will tell a woman to cover up and wave a truncheon at her and she will be shocked but still not realize she voted for it.
What is the housing like in Cuba?
Due to a lack of means and permits to build new homes, the majority of the Cuban population live in “solars”: a solar is a building that was originally designed to be lived in by only one family, but has been transformed into a multi-family “coop” due to the increase in population and lack of space.
Yes, the housing is cheap and rent regulated, but hundred of people live in subdivided crumbling house, sharing bathrooms, kitchens, sleeping on floors, etc.
That’s what AFFORDABLE housing looks like!
Yes, the housing is cheap a
And worth every penny.
Well, I’m glad I’m not in New York. I can wear my IDF T-shirt here in northern Colorado, and no one would even notice.
Yes,
Regulating housing has a short term benefits. And can be easily demagogued. That’s why socialists always address the housing. Lenin started with housing too.
In longer term, slowly, like the frog in the hot water, the housing shortage develops and slowly, the housing quality deteriorates, eventually reaching catastrophic levels!
The same with health care (see how American healthcare deteriorated since Obamacare).
And any other do good socialist projects!
Wall Street needs to head to Texas and become “ Ya’ll Street”
Leave Barter Town to the barbarians
The biggest problem with housing is the decline in our society.
Who wants to live in a ‘cheap’ neighborhood, if it is crime-infested?
There are a lot of old homes in Detroit, that would have been perfect ‘fixer-uppers’, but nobody wants to live there because of the crime.
