Ok, so the house members are back in their districts, at least in theory until Nov 17th, due to the house being in recess.
The Government has been shutdown for more than a month.
SNAP benefits are cut, etc.. lawsuits are flying..
Democrats are daily out there blaming it on Republicans, which is garbage, but that's what they are doing.
So, where are the Republicans?
Why are they NOT out at the Food Banks and distribution sites? Why is the RNC and the other GOP PACS not donating and redirecting funds to food banks and other things?
They are home! They should every single day be at some even t in their home districts bagging food, handing out food, volunteering at some social services support organization etc... And they should be telling every reporter in those contexts what the GOP and republicans are doing and asking why the Democrats keep doing this to people.
Actions like this, would go far further to moving folks than press conferences and memes etc. I am not saying stop those things, but I am saying the GOP has a huge opportunity to reframe EVERYTHING, and move hearts and minds, particularly in the middle, by simple, actions.
Yet, where are they?
I am not asking this out of anger, I am truly asking. America is a wonderful place, full of caring people... Republicans should be right in this and showing it... The entire right should... Yet, where are they?
Senate Republicans should be introducing legislation and forcing votes daily, piece meal it if need be.. make Democrats excplicitely vote not to fund SNAP. Not to fund, x or y or z.. and with every no VOTE you should be out there on the ground visible doing what can be done to help those harmed by those funds not flowing.

Oh and not simply the politicians... If you have the time and resources to help, you should be out there helping too.. the entire Political Right should be organizing and acting as a group, and make no qualms about how you feel and who is to blame when you are asked.
Republicans doing what they usually do, working to hand things over to the communists.
The Dems have wisely pivoted from equity to affordability. Republicans need to address affordability and healthcare or it won’t be long and we’ll be wondering how we ever get Republicans elected.

Our Frauds-In-Office are too busy negotiating deals for personal advancement to protect our interests.

That argument holds not water anymore... Yes at one time no one would know because the MSM would ignore it. Now, the right wing media would happily be touting it on the various platforms.
NONE OF THIS IS HAPPENING.. I am sure individuals are doing things here and there, but I mean a coordinated, national effort... everyone all in..

Because fighting the opponent is more air-worthy than being seen as helping the innocents being hammered by the shut down. not all SNAP recipients are layabouts. not all Federal workers are goldbrickers, but the optics of railing at Shummy’s Shutdown carries that message at least subliminally to Joe Sixpack
remember how Reagan could connect empathetically with audiences of normies?
History tells us that in a few months nobody will care about this temporary spending disruption. Nobody.
Trump and the GOP should be actively shutting down these large non-essential agencies PERMANENTLY.

We have a thin lead in the house. 3 democrats have died and it bought us time while a special election gets called to refill the seats. No room for error on our part. So what happens? A guy named Green on our side quits. As I said no fight.
Let’s hope older democrats stay on as we’re not helping ourselves.
I am trying to point out a huge MISS, that is beyond stupid by the GOP.
The Democrats are handing you opportunity here, huge opportunity.. an opportunity for you literally to get face time with a segment of the population that you could make in roads with.. No I don’t expect it to move the needle by massive amounts, but just minor shifts can result in massive returns.
WHERE THE HECK IS THE LEADERSHIP!
I can guarantee you one thing... from personal experience with John Fetterman.. Yes I have met him a time or two, and while I disagree with him on a lot on policy. I would be hard pressed to believe if he was not stuck in Washington right now, and was back in PA, that he would not be doing exactly what I am suggesting, whether the rest of the Democrat machine did or not...
Honestly I am very surprised the Democrats themselves are not doing what I am suggesting.

IF I ran the RNC or had ANY sway in GOP politics right now, I’d be publicly calling on every part of the right wing ecosystem to get out and help our fellow americans.. directly.
Johnson can hold press conferences in the rotunda all day blaming democrats, but what’s going to hold more weight for a person. Johnson arguing that it is the democrats fault, which it is... Of some local guy handing out food to a desperate person who’s not sure whats going happen tomorrow? And they see, that person doing something to actually help them?
Incredible opportunity being missed.
It would be interesting if ICE would hand out food and check citizenship in the process.

I am all for cutting waste, reducing fraud, reducing the size of government... but you think that’s moving any needles?
You think if you are someone who relies for WHATEVER reason, whether you feel it is legitimate or not, on social services, is going to be swayed by some ideological argument if they aren’t sure where their next meal is coming from? (Whether it actually isn’t coming or not, the simple fear of it not coming is enough..).
This is a huge opportunity for the RIGHT, honestly to PUT UP, on its claimed ideology. Government being in things that the people can do for themselves. Here it is! Get out there and do it. Help your neighbors, show them everything they have been told about the “evil, selfish, right wingers” are wrong.
This is how you change hearts and minds, and we are being handed a GIFT, and we are ignoring it.
Good for you, however sitting in judgement of folks you know nothing about, doesn’t move the needle.

Was surprised this morning to hear for the first time a sound clip played on a conservative radio show of House Speaker Mike Johnson actually referring to the Dems as "socialists, Marxists" - as though it was a recent revelation. And Johnson is a lawyer with expertise in constitutional law.
Hiding under a pew while the dimocraps preach the insanity...
