On Monday’s broadcast of “CNN News Central,” Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) said that “the shutdown, actually, is something that the Republicans have been really responsible for, because one of our key things in the shutdown is, number one, vote to reopen the government, but make sure Donald Trump does not get a blank check for his lawless activities,” and “people are understanding that Democrats are fighting to try to reduce their costs.”

So, people are understanding that Democrats are fighting to try to reduce their costs. And that is a major theme, frankly, John, in all these races around the country right now.”

This is so old and tired. But its the Dem playbook that has worked for years because the media supports it. No matter what the situation, just go on TV and blame Republicans and Trump. There is evidence that it is not working this time. But we’ll see.

Trump is now spending the last of the SNAP money. I hope he spends it wisely. Some states have already indicated that they want to oppose the Federal Government and distribute SNAP money to those here illegally. The money will last longer, if they get none of it.
If Trump can make sure that his people will continue to be paid with impunity, the fake “press” will be unable to be heard over growling stomachs.
