🚨 52% of American Schools and Districts have begun rolling out a new program called Equitable Grading

Equitable Grading means American students will have

- Unlimited test retakes - No zeros for missing work - No homework, homework’s is excluded from final grades - No late penalties - No required participation

“In short, everyone passes and more than half of US public schools have already adopted at least one of these policies and some districts have adopted all of them.

Teachers themselves are calling it academic fraud. Meanwhile, the US already spends more per student than almost any other developed nation and our students are performing near the bottom. For example:

- American 15 year olds placed 28th out of 37 countries in math and reading and math scores just hit their lowest levels in 20 years - In some districts, over 50% of middle school students are already three or more grade levels behind, yet they're still being pushed through the system.

Apparently, schools are implementing this to raise test scores, improve graduation rates, and close achievement gaps tied to race and income — This is the classroom version of handing out participation trophies to every kid on the field and it's not just lowering the bar, it's destroying it.”

- 52%: Schools/districts using at least one Equitable Grading policy (e.g., no zeros, retakes, or late-work leniency). - 34%: Using 2-3 Equitable Grading policies. - 6%: Using 4+ Equitable Grading policies (full “package” implementation). - Higher adoption of Equitable Grading in middle schools (e.g., 55% in majority-minority middle schools) and urban/district-wide settings

Conclusion: jacking rates sky-high on H-1B Visas is not a good idea.

Seven years ago or so, the kid at the deli counter at Safeway was getting me some macaroni salad. He asked “How much do you want?”

I said “How about four ounces?”

He said “We don’t sell it by the ounce. We sell it by the pound.”

I asked him “OK, what fraction of a pound is four ounces?”

“Duh, I dunno.”

“OK, how many ounces in a pound?”

“Duh, dunno.”

“All right, there are sixteen ounces run a pound. I want four ounces. What fraction of a pound do I want?”

Deer in the headlights again. “Huh, dunno.”

Me. “There are sixteen ounces in a pound. I want to buy four ounces. What fraction of a pound to I want?

Kid: “Uh, I dunno. You want macaroni or not, Mister?”

Me. “Give me a quarter pound of macaroni.”

True story!

Would you want your airline pilot to be certified by equitable grading?

Would you want your brain surgeon to be certified by equitable grading?

Of course not.

Our kids need to be challenged, to be taught respect for our great Nation and our way of life, to read, reason, and the basics of math, science, and to communicate effectively by both oral and written skills.

Yikes!
Maybe, until a new generation of K-12 has been educated under a re-instituted 1950s Public School System, we need to rethink those H1B Indians...

Also, there will be the necessary shutting down and flushing of all the colleges and universities, and starting all over...

It took the communists 50 years to destroy American education; it might take 50 years to restore it...

I BELIEVE EVERY WORD OF THAT.

I was ON THE HONOR ROLL IN HS & GOT 4.0 IN ALL MY NIGHT CLASSES IN ACCOUNTING AT COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

RAN MY OWN BOOKKEEPING BUSINESS FOR 42 YEARS. LAST CLIENT RETIRED AT HIS AGE OF 84-—I WAS 82.

Well, then ALL of those “teachers” flunk in my book. How utterly ridiculous can they get? We used to lead the world in education, but now, because of some students who can’t hack it we never will again.

My Dad wanted me to follow him and be a mechanical engineer. He got me a subscription to Popular Science around 1960 when I was 9 years old. Around 1964 or 1965, they had a good article about “mental math” which really intrigued me. I always prided myself on solving tough problems in my head. When I learned exponential notation, I could come up with really good estimates of the solution of a tough equation in my head. It really helped to “bound” the problem so, when you did the detailed solution, you knew if your detailed calculation was in the right ballpark.

I still enjoy doing mental problems. I play backgammon on line and will do a lot of quick mental calcs to optimize my play. If an opponent has a 1/36 chance of hitting me, it’s a very safe move. Example: If he needs a double-4 to hit me, the chances are 1/6 x 1/6 = 1/36.

I figure it keeps the old brainpan in shape. My wife disagrees.

This is all about Black people!
Everyone else on earth can develop
into a highly organized society, but
blacks cannot.
Probably because all the slavers
killed all the smart ones

Although, I have no problem unlimited test taking...

Trust me, they let them cheat these days too, and practically right out in the open while they purposely look the other way. All because certain racial groups will not do their school work or studying. Are you okay with all that too?

This race to the bottom really really pisses me off to no end. We might as well just sign America over to China now and save a lot of trouble.

We need state laws slasning funds for school districts that do this, its just daycare, not schools.

In schools like these the teachers just want to be part of the 'cool' kids, all that learning and stuff is for squares.

Fortunately my kid goes to public school in a suburb where the people are much more conservative than I. They don’t have this policy there.

Problem is how do universities, trade schools and employers know what type od school one attended.

This policy waters down the achievements of students who actually did well in school.

The people may be.

The school probably isn't.

Except let’s be real. Employers are the problem.

—The problem—

There ought to be a top to bottom near to far outrage and rejection of all this where everybody is more involved in putting an end to the schools being used for the progressives’ political purposes.

But how does it play out in real life?

Everybody (the employers) is looking for the “quick fix” lazy solution, without the necessary full extirpation of the political forces in schools, and guess what.

Government has the solution to the problem.

The solution? Standardized tests!

When the government introduced Common Core and promoted standardized tests what did the employers do?

Rejoice! Embrace! Huzzah! Finally, the government that caused the problem is going to be the government that solves the problem! Hurray! The arsonist is the firefighter!!! Wonderful!

Employers can go stuff it. Worthless pieces of smelly. Employers are the problem, not the solution.

If employers were serious they would be demanding in mass for the abolition of the Department of Education. You see any employers doing that?

That’s right me neither. So, I don’t want to hear it from the employers. They are only encouraging more government which just makes all of our lives worse.
