From Kurt Schlichter:
“Quick, everybody care what a bunch of impotent, fussy foreigners think about us! No, really, we should give a damn that some herring-gobbling fjord jockey is mad about Donald Trump. Yeah, Norwegians totally matter. But not really. No foreigner matters. Not Canadians, not the English, not the Arabs (especially of the nonexistent Palestinian variety), not the Papua/New Guineans. Here’s the reality. Most foreigners are trash. Most people who aren’t Americans suck. And treacherous Americans who presume to leverage the puny outrage of second-rate cultures against ours deserve our contempt and mockery almost as much as the foreigners themselves. They think we’re dumb, New World rubes with too much in the way of guns, calories, and Jesus.
“In contrast, we barely think of them at all.”
And that’s only the beginning of his most excellent rant. Read it all, and chortle.

Steyn replies ' the truth is Americans love their guns and love having them'.
The Frenchman replies 'a lot of people here would love to have guns too'.
"Exactly' says Steyn.
The only Norwegian that matters this weekend is Viktor Hovland at the Ryder Cup (and he played his college golf at Oklahoma State, not Fjord University).
Kurt seems to be generalizing from those at the UN in NY. Around the world, people are sent to the UN to get them out of their home country where they are not wanted and would just gum things up.
Norway has lots and lots and lots of money from oil.
They should take all that money and give it to Africa.
Then they should all eat that snot-salmon they call Ludefisk wrapped up in potato tortillas while hurtling down a ski jump in summer on roller skates carrying a big sign saying “FREE THE POTATOES!”.
> Norway has lots and lots and lots of money from oil. <
There is a serious rape problem in Norway’s capital, Oslo. And if you guessed it’s due to “immigrants”, you have guessed correctly.
Norway should take some of that money, and pay those folks to leave.
But of course they won’t do that. Instead Norwegian authorities are telling native women to dress more modestly (not kidding).
I’m agreeing more as we travel.
The maids at the hotel couldn’t even understand ‘air freshener’ when I translated on the iphone!!! I pointed to my nose and acted like I had a spray bottle. Still didn’t work. THEN she finally understood and brought me the freshener to use in our room. Try to get a wash cloth!!!!
They have been there for over a year and don’t seem to want to talk/learn English for what their job entails. Plus, watching them clean is scary. I bring Lysol and wipe down the sink and toilet so that I have ‘first use’ cloths.
Great column.

This guy is an arrogant idiot. We are moving into a multipolar world and need as many allies as we can get. Military power alone isn’t going to be sufficient we need to project soft power as well which requires the support of our allies. Telling other countries to just buzz off will just encourage them to align with the BRICS nations further weakening the dollar. So screw this pinhead and his shallow understanding of how the world works.
Your post is globalist bile.
I’m a nationalist not a globalist. But even a country of nationalists requires allies. Pitting the US against the rest of the world as this clown seems to want is not conducive to our overall interests.
I’m tired of being the milch cow for people who stick their superior noses up in the air when they’re around Americans.
To be a true ally and/or friend, they must have similar values and be as protective of THEIR OWN. Otherwise, they are similar to the bar on Tattooine, buy a round and see who is a friend. The next day, they hate you. That describes how foreign countries see the USA.
I think you will find that 99.9% of the people on FR are the type of people who would say “America, love it or leave it.”
I think you will also find most of the people on FR believe that America is the best, even though we don’t always act like it.
I also believe that any country that messes with America needs to have certain actions taken against it which I won’t go into here.
Well said.
I believe you’ll find yourself more at home over at Democratic Underground with the DUmpster DUmmies.
So am I, big time.
People should keep in mind that not all foreigners hate America and some in fact believe a strong and free America is the cornerstone of a free and prosperous international community. Some have lost sight of this in part because globalists control the narrative in almost all countries except possibly Slovakia and Hungary, Israel to some extent, so Americans of the MAGA movement tend to hear nothing but negative commentary from outside the country. This does not always match public opinion. For example in Canada, globalists control just about all the political parties and the media, but 20 to 30 per cent of Canadians would describe themselves as anti-globalist and are probably sympathetic to Donald Trump’s policies in general.
I have been disappointed in the lack of nuance in some statements and actions taken, which tend to make our task in other countries even more difficult than they were. But we soldier on because we also want to have more rational government not for elites and globalists but for everyday average people. The problem is that in most parts of the first world nowadays, everyday average people are often brainwashed to adopt anti-American attitudes, in part out of ignorance of what’s really at stake, and in part out of jealousy. In Canada here I find 90% of anti-Americanism is just jealousy, if Canadians would accept the rather obvious proposition that with 10% of the population we are not likely to do better than 10% of the accomplishments of America, this jealousy might go away because we probably do keep up to that standard. I’ve never been jealous of anyone really, so I don’t get that sort of attitude. I would love to have had the opportunity to live and work in America but I rather foolishly never tried very hard to do that because I thought I could do things that would change Canada for the better. All I’ve really managed to do is waste my time, my efforts and my resources, it’s like talking to the dead to be a conservative political activist in Canada. Sure we have this so-called conservative political party, but they are mostly centrists who want lower taxes. That’s perhaps a good start but to get to a culture of excellence and achievement takes a lot more, and people are oblivious to it — if you’ve never known excellence in your own life, I suppose you can’t relate to a concept like an exceptional society.
