Bruce was an amazing martial artist. I still don’t think in an actual fight he could take an in his prime Chuck Norris. But this was one of the great movie fights in history.
It is not real... Real fights are nothing at all like that.
I was rooting for the kitten.
That movie... was that the “The Man from Hong Kong”? Because, if so, man, Bruce would have killed in that role!
As for this fight everybody keeps trotting out... shoot, I’d rather see Norris take on “Nasty” Steve Anderson or a Lewis rematch (all in their prime, of course). I have a LBI dream line-up and those three would be it. lol
I’m gonna beat your face in. But first, let’s spend 10 minutes stretching, doing calisthenics, and shadow boxing. Then, I’m going to show you how mad I am. You just stay right there until I’m done stretching.
Remember watching that on the big screen. Laughed so hard when Bruce came away with a handful of chest hair!
Hahahahahahaha
I still contend that Muhammad Ali would have won a fight against Bruce Lee.
I was wondering would would have won in real life.
Yea, a lot of dedicated Bruce Lee fans absolutely did not like that scene in the movie. They thought it was in bad taste.
Martial arts for the screen is choreographed. If it wasn’t one of the combatants would be hammered and maybe killed.
Norris was a three time world light heavyweight champion and ultimately unified the WBC and IBF belts in 1995. He was a seasoned and pure fighter competing against the best in the world. His arts were not that pretty but obviously highly effective.
Lee was a great showman creating and perfecting skills that were flashy and entertaining.
Both created their own style:
Norris - Chun Kuk Do - it evolved from his Tang Soo Do background in the military, incorporating techniques from other styles like Kempo and grappling to create a well-rounded, self-defense-focused art. The grappling was out of Gracie Ju Jitsu of which he is a Mestre.
Lee - Jeet Kune Do - While initially incorporating elements of Mishima Style Fighting Karate, his style evolved to incorporate more diverse techniques geared toward the camera. A lot of his style came from the streets from his early years and includes a number of forms comprising set sequences of movements. These movements are based upon fourteen basic stances which are named after animal movements.
So you be the judge. Lee looked better, but Norris was a world class fighter. And they trained together for a couple of years and were good friends.

I remember going to see that movie and couldn’t stop laughing at that fight between Kato and Clouseau. He actually nailed Kato, or his stunt double, in the back of his head with the nunchucks.
I loved the scene where Clouseau is in bed with the girl, and he was wondering why Kato didn't attack him, then looking up, Kato's face appears in a rip in the canopy above the bed where he had been hiding-
Then Kato falls on top of both of them, and the Murphy bed folds back into the wall throwing them through the wall into the river!
Chuck Norris deserved an oscar for that film, making people believe he can be defeated in a fight.
