The People of Sudan Are Eating Animal Feed
AllAfrica ^

Posted on 08/10/2025 2:37:24 PM PDT by nickcarraway

In war-torn Sudan, hungry civilians are reportedly eating animal feed as women and girls face a "gender emergency".

El Fasher has the highest cost of basic goods nationwide at nearly $1,000 per household per month, which is far beyond the reach of most families. This includes more than $700 for food alone - more than eight times the cost of basic food items in other parts of the country.

Aid deliveries had been blocked for over a year, and a sanitation campaign was launched to prevent disease outbreaks in displacement sites. In Blue Nile State, cholera cases have surged to nearly 2,800 since late June, with over 40 new infections recorded yesterday alone, with 14 deaths have been reported.

The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned of a deteriorating situation that is putting even more civilians' lives at risk, especially in El Fasher. OCHA's Director of Operations and Advocacy, Edem Wosornu, said the suffering is immense, with people trapped, displaced, or returning to communities in ruins. Wosornu called for unimpeded access and urgent support to reach those on the frontlines of hardship.

Mt buddy’s daughter works in S Sudan as an aid worker. She convinced dad to ‘buy a cow’ for one of the villages she serves in an effort to educate them in animal husbandry, milk production etc. Got the cow brought it in under her security team. As soon as it got into ‘town’, some dude with a machete leapt from a tree and beheaded it. They got one meal.

There's more, bit here's some on the gender whatever:
In Africa's Sahel region, deepening violence and poverty - driven by displacement, hunger and terrorism - are stripping women and girls of their right to safety, education and a viable future. Risks to women and girls across this vast region are severe and systemic, as political instability, environmental collapse and a declining international presence take their toll. From abductions and child marriage to exclusion from schools and public life, their lives and opportunities are being steadily stripped away, Sima Bahous, Executive Director of UN Women, told ambassadors in the Security Council on Thursday. "In the Sahel, where the world's gravest concerns converge, women and girls bear the brunt," she said. She added that crises due to increasing terrorism, poverty, hunger, a crumbling aid system and shrinking civic space are "converging - violently and disproportionately - on their bodies and their futures."

There’s more,

yes there is. We have let the left pervert perspective on gender issues, and we respond to their version.

The is no easy answer to Sudan or more situations through out history.

I support a Haiti ministry. Can’t save them all, but might save one or two.

Islam is a problem never named by the left, and the majority cause of and “gender crisis” that befalls women. Hey lefty woman in the US, can you perform FGM on a transwoman? As I typed that, I realized they are mutilating both girls and boys here, so nevermind 😞

I remember hearing years ago that when the US shipped corn to Europe in late 1945 to feed the starving people, many of them refused it, saying it was animal feed. So what, exactly, is this animal feed they are reduced to eating?

From the FDA:

In war-torn Sudan, hungry civilians are reportedly eating animal feed

From Samuel Johnson's dictionary:

Oats. n.s. [aten, Saxon.] A grain, which in England is generally given to horses, but in Scotland supports the people

I have an idea. Why don’t they develop a civilization, build an economy, and feed themselves? Barring that extinction may be on the table.

Bingo!

The hypocrisy for starving children is staggering.

Hundreds of thousands of children have perished, but they can’t blame Israel.
