Ukrainians aged 60 and older can now serve in non-combat roles thanks to new legislation. The elderly Ukrainians will need special approval and get medical clearance before enlisting.
The law was passed by the Ukrainian legislature earlier this month and signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday, allowing people over the age of 60 to serve in limited roles until martial law in Ukraine is lifted.
While the current martial law authorization is set to lapse next month, Zelensky has requested that lawmakers extend it for an additional 90 days. Zelensky’s presidential term has already expired, and he has used martial law to remain in office.
Zelensky signed the law increasing the age limit as Ukraine continues to struggle with manpower in the war with Russia. Last year, Ukraine lowered its draft age from 27 to 25, but has resisted calls from the US to drop it to 18.
Ukrainian MP Anna Skorokhod explained earlier this month that her country was facing a severe manpower shortage, saying, “Our main problem is people. Nobody is giving us people.”
The MP said that even if President Donald Trump sent more weapons to Ukraine, the “war cannot last forever.”
A lot of nonsense there, but you seemed to ignore that the same unit that Trump stationed in Ukraine to train Ukrainians during his first presidency, have just recently arrived in Germany to train Ukrainian troops again.
What nonsense? Zelensky did everything I said. The Ukes have hated Trump ever since he came out for peace negotiations. I’d say the nonsense is your blind support for the Ukraine.
You support Russia while the President and the United States supports the country Russia is invading, and that threatens American troops, even the ones Trump has training the Ukrainians, your side is also threatening America with nuclear weapons.

A couple years ago someone claimed I was in favor of war crimes because somehow calling for peace talks was siding with Russia and siding with Russia meant supporting war crimes. That was lowdown and vicious.
Well it is sure clear that you are against the country that America and all of it’s allies and our NATO alliance is supporting, reading your posts sure indicates that during this bloodiest European war since WWII as America is so invested in restraining our enemy the Russians, you seem to be supportive of the Russian invasion and wanting it to end in their favor.

Nope, I’m for peace talks. That doesn’t make me a Russia supporter. If you want to go for insults, maybe supporting Ukraine like you do makes you a warmonger.
You are clearly for something different than being against Russia’s invasion and for them to withdraw and end the attack on Ukraine.
It is impossible to read your postings and not see that you are in sync with the invader’s position.
You even use that goofy Orwellian saying of being against Russia’s invasion and their war is being for war, Ukraine is fighting for their life, to exist as a people and a nation, they are fighting a war mongering invader that is destroying their cities and conquering their lands.

LOl, what would I be mad about, I’m not personally invested in this like some of you are.
My interest is in Russia, the enemy that so much of our national defense is based on and which has launched the biggest European War since WWII, and that has called in the North Korean Army combat troops for assistance.
