This morning I finalized an important Deal with the Republic of Indonesia after speaking with their Highly Respected President Prabowo Subianto. This landmark Deal opens up Indonesia’s ENTIRE MARKET to the United States for the first time in History. As part of the Agreement, Indonesia has committed to purchasing $15 Billion Dollars in U.S. Energy, $4.5 Billion Dollars in American Agricultural Products, and 50 Boeing Jets, many of them 777’s. For the first time ever, our Ranchers, Farmers, and Fishermen will have Complete and Total Access to the Indonesian Market of over 280 million people. In addition, Indonesia will pay the United States a 19% Tariff on all Goods they export to us, while U.S. Exports to Indonesia are to be Tariff and Non Tariff Barrier FREE. If there is any Transshipment from a higher Tariff Country, then that Tariff will be added on to the Tariff that Indonesia is paying. Thank you to the People of Indonesia for your friendship and commitment to balancing our Trade Deficit. We will keep DELIVERING for the American People, and the People of Indonesia!

LOL.
Winning!
Gee, soon only Canada and China will be the ones left without a deal, eh?
Unless they wise up, swallow their pride and come to the table to negotiate.
Yikes!
What a deal...
Sounds good to me.
The dominoes, they keep falling.
The money, it keeps flowing.
Reminds me of decades ago when it was common to hear, “Don’t bet against America.”
A lesson to be learned here for the oil is infinite crowd.
Indonesia is going to buy $15B in energy, the Prez said? Well, guess what. Indonesia used to be part of OPEC, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. They are no longer. They are no longer exporting because they depleted their fields and are headed for empty. And so OPEC showed them the door.
Canada has no cards. Just have pride.
Pride and $7 can buy a latte at Starbucks.
LOL to you.
But, muh Epstein!
MSM is silent on first month in many decades US Treasury had a MONTHLY surplus due to income from TARIFFS.
“Indonesia will pay the United States a 19% Tariff on all Goods they export to us,”
Sorry beloved prez, Indonesia will not pay a dime. Tariffs are paid at the US order by the importer.
The Treasury had a surplus of $27 Billion last month. That was the first surplus in 50 months but they will keep coming and growing. Why is that a big deal?
“A treasury surplus helps America by providing the government with extra cash to manage its finances more effectively. This surplus can be used to pay down the national debt, fund new infrastructure projects, or even cut taxes. It signals a stronger-than-expected economy or a shift in fiscal strategy. Additionally, a surplus can lead to lower interest payments on the national debt, which can benefit taxpayers and the economy as a whole.”
I bet you’re also predicting massive inflation caused by the tariffs, right?
Knowing that there will be tariffs, manufacturers adjust their prices so they will be competitive with goods from other countries and domestic suppliers. The tariff is then applied to that price, and that becomes the cost to the importer. The supply chain then makes decisions about the amount of markup they pass along, because everyone would rather make some money than no money. The ultimate amount passed to the consumer is therefore just a small fraction of what the press passes as doom and gloom.
“ Indonesia will pay the United States a 19% Tariff on all Goods they export to us, while U.S. Exports to Indonesia are to be Tariff and Non Tariff Barrier FREE.”
What this means in practice is that the US will pay a 19% tax on imports from Indonesia while Indonesia will pay 0 taxes on imports from the US.
Biden trade deal would have consisted of ice cream for children
This might be a BFD.
