The release of that memo and the totally phony weird Epstein show at the cabinet meeting provided all the chum the RATs need to run with it.
It was so bad it left the admin’s biggest fans going WTF?
This is self inflicted wounding because up until now the RATs have failed to get at Trump.
She was definitely doing what Trump wanted her to do. She’s just getting the most criticism because it goes against everything she previously had said about the Epstein matter. But closing the case and saying there’s nothing there was Trump’s decision. And all 3 of them, Bondi, Patel, and Bongino all went along with it. Apparently Trump decided to protect the intelligence agencies involved and came up with this ridiculous story that Epstein didn’t kill himself and there’s nothing more to investigate. Well nobody believes that. The buck stops with Trump not Bondi who was merely following his wishes.

We will see how this plays. Right now I believe they are mis-reading the audience.
You cannot say that “We discovered a truckload of evidence” and then a couple months later say, “never mind” without some details.
Their stance defies simple logic. What was he arrested for? What is Maxwell in prison for? If there is no evidence…why was he in the lock up? And who, exactly, was Maxwell trafficking to?
Trump’s reaction the other day was very telling. It was the reaction of someone who doesn’t want to talk about this any more. He wants it to go away. Why is that?

It is more than that.
She strongly emphasized that the Epstein matter was where she was going to prove she was the administration leader in accountability and disclosure.
She pounded on the issue relentlessly on Fox news.
It is not just what she said. It was the way she said it.
Bondi made Epstein one of the centerpieces of her public relations campaign.
She promised (in person at the White House) a large group of right wing influencers that she would be giving them lots of information about what was in the Epstein files on an ongoing basis.
This is not just a case of making a few incorrect statements.
She created the monster that will consume her—all by herself.
(Almost all of those right wing influencers are out there calling for her scalp right now...)

He is in “la la la” land which is what I call it when you stick your fingers in your ears so as not to hear. He probably cherry picks support like you see here where people claim this poses no problem.
IF this is a national security issue ( and I emphatically believe it is) it could and should have been handled a different way to minimize blowback.
Dan is going to protect himself and he has a lot of public support. Bondi does not have that same kind of public support.
Trump tried to hang on to Alex Acosta but it was causing to much problem because of Epstein and he had to go.
I will wait until the issue is really over to decide that.
I was never a fan of Bondi to begin with. She’s not very bright and really wasn’t ready for such an important position.
