On Morning Joe, NBC reporter Julia Ainsley fretted that there could be "injuries" to detainees at Alligator Alcatraz. She did so in the context of noting that the facility is "soft-sided" rather than "bricks and mortar." Her implication seemed to be that, as a result, it will be easier for detainees to escape.
Pro tip for detainees not wanting to become lunch for a hungry alligator or python: don't add to your crimes by escaping.
Ainsley also claimed that with Alligator Alcatraz, the Trump administration is "deviating" from the notion that ICE detention is not meant to be punitive.
Katty Kay lamented: "We're in a world where what's supposed to be was kind of jettisoned." Katty, take solace in Kamala's deep thought: "What Can Be, Unburdened By What Has Been."

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Ingesting tattoo ink can be harmful. I’d worry about threats of injury to the alligators.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
Do the crime, do the time.
I’ve got a lot of ideas for tasteless cartoons, but I can’t draw.
RE: tattoo ink....
I don’t remember the last time I was concerned with nature and ecology.
Hope those alligators can excrete the harmful ink from the evil aliens.
I sure hope no federal judge places an injunction on the construction of the fence that’s supposed to keep the alligators out. Should be a priority item on next year’s budget.
They can self deport and avoid this then...
they are not serving life sentences
it is a processing center
a couple of weeks and they are deported
It's a processing facility to expedite removal of illegal aliens; arguably a humanitarian thing to do so the poor illegal aliens can return home -- all expenses paid (of course) by American taxpayers -- and will no longer have to "live in fear" of the consequences of breaking our laws to break into our country ... uninvited except by businesses who gain an unfair competitive advantage by "hiring" the illegals and which are not held to account for doing so.
“Pro tip for detainees not wanting to become lunch for a hungry alligator or python: don’t add to your crimes by escaping.”
I hope that’s a joke.
I heard several fake news channels actually imply that the alligators and pythons are a true and direct threat....as if walking 10 feet into the swamp will be an immediate death sentence.
I hope the incarcerated illegals believe that but it’s unbelievable that news outlets believe it.....just goes to show how generally uneducated they are.
Me too, I’m afraid the gators will just spit them out rather than risk become infected with the stupid.
I wonder how she feels about Ole’ Red?
I’m hoping such events can be shown on reality TV!
That’s exactly what Kristi Noem said!
That is a hoot.
Too bad the gators can’t be fitted with gun belts abd night sticks.
I fret about the Alligator indigestion, given all that spicy food.
Maaybeee, if the gators don’t get too hungrey.
