Sean Duffy moves to pull $4 billion from failed California high-speed rail; Project in default, federal funding at risk.

California’s high speed rail project is facing a financial reckoning after the Federal Railroad Administration declared it in default on $4 billion in federal grants. The latest report from the Department of Transportation exposes years of mismanagement, missed deadlines, and unrealistic ridership projections, raising serious doubts about whether the project will ever be completed.

The numbers tell the story. The rail system was originally planned as an 800-mile network, connecting San Francisco to San Diego. Over time, the scope shrunk to 500 miles, then 171 miles, and now just 119 miles. The federal review describes the project as a Sisyphean endeavor, warning that even with continued funding, there is no viable path forward.

Massive infrastructure for the Train to Nowhere is being built throughout the Central Valley. Huge numbers of crews, heavy equipment, trestles and overpasses under construction.

Hundreds if not thousands of people at work on it daily.

This project is not going to stop. It may never be finished, but it is not going to stop.

Just when you thought it could not get any worse:

“A French company hoping to help California with its high-speed rail built one in North Africa instead, saying the region [North Africa] was “less politically dysfunctional”

The first time I heard about the California bullet train, it was 1988 and I was in the 8th grade.

Have the even broke ground on it yet?

I just drove the I5 corridor and around the valley. There are overpasses and stacks of rebar. That’s it.

So when the sequel “How The West Was Lost” comes out, who will be the narrator? Spencer Tracy did the original.

One suspects that it just might have been corrupt from the get-go, and counted on the stupidity of voters to pay for something that would never, ever transport a passenger or collect a nickel of fare.

Overpromising (as in lying) and continuing deceit. Democrats.

Sean Duffy. Wisconsin Boy done good! We love him. He needs more press.

But, he’s a rock-ribbed Conservative and is pro-Trump so...

*Crickets Chirping* from the Enemy Media *SPIT*

Nine kids, though. Lots of little Duffys out there to carry things forward. ;)
