Senator Scott told Charlie Kirl on Tuesday that he will "absolutely" vote no on the bill.

"there’s not a chance it would get to 51 votes," he said.

WATCH:

Kirk: What is your take on the current status of the big, beautiful bill that’s passed the House? Will you be voting for it, or will you be advocating for some changes?

Scott: Look I think all the— Ron Johnson, Rand Paul, Mike Lee, all of us. We want a bill to pass. We want a good bill. We want a bill that securites the border. We want President Trump's agenda. We want to make sure to plus up the military. We want to make sure all the DOGE opportunities to reduce costs are part of this bill, and then let's build it to the extent we can.

.... Snip....

Kirk: So, Senator, would you say, without any changes at its current composition, would you vote no?

Scott: Oh, absolutely, I’d vote no. This bill doesn't have— if they brought to the floor right now, there's not a, there's not a chance it'll get the 51 votes it needs.

This is the same dickweed that wanted to have a national abortion ban law right after the supreme court ruling already killed roe versus wade. He put that out four weeks before the midterms in 2018.

Scott admits the “Doge” cuts are not in the bill. All doge spending remains in the bill. The house is full of fools. Here’s a clue. Stop the spending. Quit spending on agencies and non-profits you claim to close/doge. Liars and Fools.

We need the promised substantial cuts ( no tax on retirement distributions and oendions , tips, overtime, eliminate the SALT deduction limit) on the way to eliminating the disgusting federal income tax system

Otherwise it’s mostly fluff, bulkdheit, and yes, more wasted spending

It wasn’t only him, he had an accomplice...... Lindsey Graham?

They killed the Red Wave and therefore the 2018 midterms. Then Trump immediately got impeached.

As Stephen Miller explained a few days ago, the vast majority of DOGE cuts are cuts to discretionary spending, not mandatory spending. Senate rules only allow reconciliation bills to cut mandatory spending, not discretionary spending.

and we’re back to 2009 and the Tea Party Contract with America when the adults in the tea party told these bastiage politicians exactly what they needed to do.

1. fire the house leadership who put up this fat cow of a bill.

2. pass a resolution for a balanced budget and a balanced budget amendment.

3. break all apart all spending and cutting bills in to small, function related, readable bills and give at least 3 days for all to review. no more midnight votes.

4. make sure all the bills balance with a baseline of zero by at least the end of Trump’s term. that would insure that all the DOGE cuts would be in immediately.

5. vote on each one separately and in the light of day.

i hope the senate has a few tea party adults in there (like Johnson, Lee, Paul, and Scott and will make some of this happen.

Don't just say "no" Senator Scott. Do something. Make changes.

Make changes. Deliver a good bill that will gain 51 votes.

The Senate could change the rules but it won't.

Scott needs to do more than say "no". He needs to whip up 51 votes to change the rules. Then he needs to come up with a good bill that will get 51 votes.

“overtime”

Why should Mr. Salary with the same income as Mr. Clockpuncher pay more in tax?

“overtime”

Raise the time & half kick-in to 48 hours a week at the employee’s option.

This would be have to done at a state unemployment office to prevent abuse and would be specific to the employer.

The employee would hand one copy of the form to the employer.

Few people get overtime these days, mainly public employees.

If I worked at Walmart and got overtime, both me and the negligent manager would probably get fired.

The PPACA ‘part-time’ threshhold should be bumped up to 34 hours.
