SACRAMENTO, CA — The next race for the White House already showed signs of being in full swing, as, eyeing a potential 2028 presidential bid, California Governor Gavin Newsom took steps to distance himself from California Governor Gavin Newsom.

Recognizing the polarizing effect Governor Newsom's liberal policies could have on voters across the country led Governor Newsom to publicly disavow many of the initiatives Governor Newsom implemented in the Golden State.

"Let me be clear — I cannot, in good conscious, condone my leadership of California," Newsom told reporters in a brief speech outside the state capitol. "Some of the decisions I made as governor do not reflect the way I believe things should be done. In fact, if the day comes when I choose to seek higher office, I will make it a point to prevent people like me from taking these harmful policies I put in place and expanding them on a national scale. Someone has to stand in the gap to protect this country from people like Gavin Newsom, and I am that someone."

When asked to identify the greatest threat America faces today, Newsom was quick to point the finger at Gavin Newsom. "Look, I can't keep getting away with this, which is why I'm on a mission to stop me," he explained. "Just look at what Gavin Newsom has done to California. Is that what we want the entire country to be like? Of course not. It's time for the people of this country to reject the destructive ideas of Gavin Newsom by electing someone like me, Gavin Newsom."

At publishing time, Governor Newsom had issued a public challenge to debate Governor Newsom on the impact his leadership has had on California.

Until The People's Republic of California™ elects a Governor who actually fixes their elections so we can get their results on election day (h/t Ron DeSantis), they will permanently be stuck in full libtard.
