Is no one really above the law? The real litmus test.

Nature abhors a vacuum, the saying goes. Of late, the democrat party has been in a vacuum, trying desperately to find something to justify its existence. The best they have come up recently is the to rush to aid and defend illegal alien murderers, rapists and child traffickers. Of and by itself it wasn't attracting the kind of attention they've been desirous of, so they hatched a new plan to get it.

There are two ICE detention facilities in New Jersey, one in Elizabeth and one in Newark. The mayor of Newark, Ras Baraka, decided he was going to storm the facility with some of his BFF's. Unauthorized entry is a violation of the law. Despite multiple warnings, Baraka decided to force his way into the facility, and he was arrested. Alina Habba, New Jersey District USA:

The Mayor of Newark, Ras Baraka, committed trespass and ignored multiple warnings from Homeland Security Investigations to remove himself from the ICE detention center in Newark, New Jersey this afternoon. He has willingly chosen to disregard the law. That will not stand in this state. He has been taken into custody. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.
Baraka's own political director admitted he violated the law:
Mayor @rasjbaraka  was arrested while peacefully entering the illegal ice detention center
Baraka's arrest spurred a cacophonic flurry of outrage from leftist politicians, from Ro Khanna to NJ Governor Phil Murphy. Khanna's response was particularly amusing:
The Trump @JDVance Administration has just arrested a mayor in Newark and shoved Members of Congress for protesting outside of an ICE facility. In America, you cannot arrest your political opponents.
Now is a good time to remember the democrat mantra for the last few years:

No one is above the law.

It gets better. A lot better.

Baraka was joined by three other NJ legislators: New Jersey democrat Congressional members, LaMonica McIver, Bonnie Watson and Rob Menendez.

Rob Menendez is the son of the recently convicted Bob Menendez.
Menedez and LaMonica decided to jump into the scrum.  Here's where it gets good. LaMonica assaults Federal agents while the white Hispanic boy Rob Menendez pushes her from behind.
Here's one view:

And here's a time stamped video

Incident Timestamp and Analysis Timestamp of Incident: The body camera footage is dated May 9, 2025, as indicated by the timestamp in the video frames. The specific incident involving Rep. Timestamp of Incident: The body camera footage is dated May 9, 2025, as indicated by the timestamp in the video frames. The specific incident involving Rep. LaMonica McIver occurs throughout the duration of the video, from 0.00 seconds to 48.40 seconds.

Observed Violations: - 0.00 seconds - 2.42 seconds: Rep. McIver is seen being physically restrained by law enforcement officers. Her struggle against their hold could be interpreted as resistance to lawful authority. - 2.42 seconds - 12.10 seconds: The struggle escalates, with Rep. McIver potentially pushing or shoving against the officers. This action may constitute an attempt to break free or an aggressive response. - 12.10 seconds - 24.20 seconds: There are clear instances of physical contact where Rep. McIver's hands make contact with the officers. This could be construed as assault, especially if the contact is deemed intentional and harmful. - 24.20 seconds - 36.30 seconds: The physical interaction continues, with Rep. McIver's actions appearing non-compliant or aggressive, potentially obstructing the officers' duties. - 36.30 seconds - 48.40 seconds: The struggle persists, and Rep. McIver's actions might be seen as further obstructing law enforcement efforts to maintain control.

Potential Charges: 1. Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer: If Rep. McIver's physical contact with the officers is determined to be intentional and harmful, she could face charges of assault on a law enforcement officer. This is often classified as a felony, depending on the jurisdiction and the extent of the physical contact. 2. Obstruction of Justice: Her resistance and physical struggle could be seen as obstructing law enforcement in the performance of their duties. This charge typically involves interfering with or hindering the work of law enforcement officers. 3. Trespassing: Although not directly observable in the provided frames, context from news reports suggests that the group, including Rep. McIver, was attempting to enter a detention facility without authorization. If this is confirmed, she might also be liable for criminal trespassing. Legal and Political Context: - The body camera footage serves as critical evidence in assessing these potential violations. The political nature of the incident, involving a congressional representative, may influence the legal proceedings and public perception. - The call for Rep. McIver's expulsion from Congress, as seen in social media reactions, underscores the severity of the perceived breach of conduct, especially in interactions with law enforcement.

This becomes a complex and murky issue.

Congress members do have a right to unannounced visits to ICE facilities, but city mayors do not. Then again, Congress members do not have the right to assault Federal LEO's.

The democrat Congress members did get their tour and what did they find?

“People are okay. They’re safe. It’s clean. They’re feeding them. ICE is out of control.” - Rep Bonnie WATSON COLEMAN
No doubt to their bitter disappointment.

The mayor was most definitely inside the perimeter of the facility

He was properly arrested and here's his mugshot

Baraka is a race baiting lunatic.

I do not believe there is coincidence in Baraka's visit being accompanied by Congressional members. This was a staged event, meant to garner all the attention it has been getting. Crisis actors descended upon Newark and put on their best umbrage faces. They were daring the Feds to arrest them and X was rife with rumors that the Congress members were going to see it happen.

It's what they want. A campaign issue. Then again, this ain't the Biden regime and those campaigns might be conducted from a prison cell.

Crucial test for the administration. This should be J6 times 10. Absolutely throw the book at all of them. No mercy at all.

Republicans always play nice — because, if we push the envelope, then — gasp! — what will the Democrats do when they have power????

Well, the thing is, the Democrats had power on January 6 2021. We SAW what they did. Here they are again, out of power, and they are assaulting the government. At what point do the Republicans ever get to do anything??

If not now, then when?

In France, the people stormed the Bastille to free political prisoners. In New Jersey, the Rats stormed ICE holding facilities to protest the deportation of illegal aliens. Are they really this stupid?

I don't believe it. If it were true, Hunter Biden would be in jail and his dad wouldn't have got a free pass on a jail term just because "he's a frail, old, man". You could also throw in a fistful of other members of Congress, too, and not just Democrats.

When it comes to government corruption, Republicans treat Democrat criminals like royalty. “Lock her up” just evaporated into the vacuum.

And who says, “nature abhors a vacuum”? The universe is 99.9% vacuum.
