The Washington Examiner reports that the suit was filed on behalf of Babbitt’s estate and her husband, Aaron Babbitt, and claims the officer who shot Babbitt was “incompetent” and “dangerous” and should have recognized Babbitt posed no threat to Congress when she entered the House speaker’s lobby.
Kyle Cheney from Politico posted the news on X this Friday afternoon.
UPDATE: The radical leftist judge on the case, Ana Reyes, is SCREAMING at both sides in the courtroom. Insane!

He can’t be prosecuted. His was one of the very last pardons that Biden’s autopen signed before noon January 20th.
Trump declared those pardons null and void.
What is the judge complaining about? Don’t they usually prefer an out of court settlement vs a jury trial?
Maybe not criminally, but I believe civil suit is still available. They can bankrupt the little murderer.
As the third anniversary of Jan. 6 approaches, Judicial Watch has filed a $30 million wrongful death suit against the federal government for the Capitol Police shooting of Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt.
You may be joking but that has been a common practice by the left. They sue the government knowing that the government will settle AND issue a decree not to repeat the “offending behavior”. It is one way they get laws without going through the legislature. They get consent decrees.
She is screaming at Babbitt lawyer over a temp restraining order (now denied) filed by a former lawyer on the case who wants 25% of the settlement.

No. The foolish judge is putting the mechanics of J6 on full display. What is at stake for all the architects, operatives, bureaucrats, and bad faith actors in the whole counterintelligence mission, is being exposed and the resulting tensions are overbearing. The players also know that Pelosi cannot be counted on to save their butts. Pelosi is a dime away from full-on dementia. She will toss them all under the bus, because “no reasonable jury would find” the old hag culpable, leaving her foot soldiers holding the bag. “They would find her a feeble old lady, well intentioned.” (Sound familiar?)
