I asked Grok: “In the past 10 years in the entire world, as far as you know, how many people were killed by each of the following? Pit bulls. Border collies. Cheetahs. No need for a long explanation. Just the numbers will be fine.”
This is the answer that it gave:
Pit bulls: ~400 (U.S. and Canada only; global data unavailable)
Border collies: 0
Cheetahs: 3
-400? Did the pit bullls give birth?
With everyone and their mother talking about AI, I keep remembering GIGO. Garbage In Garbage Out. Do these computer programs they are calling AI use sources such as Wikipedia? There is so much garbage in Wikipedia.
Imagine an AI that uses Wikipedia, NY Times, Washington Post, etc.
Imagine a true AI examining all of the Globull Warming, Globull Cooling, Climate Change, Climate Crisis, Climate Hoax “information.”
A true AI that was provided access to the NY Times, Washington Post would probably result in arrest warrants for those publishers, and demands to return any and all rewards (Pulitzers).
Reports on deaths may be pretty good. A body is hard to fake.
They trained on official data bases.
Look more closely: ~400, not -400.
A body was quite easy to fake four years in the case of bidAn
Ridiculous answer. More pit bulls kept in homes. Too dangerous to leave unattended outside.
Border collies...good dog. Not as many as pit bulls, though
Cheetahs...very, very few kept as pets. Supposedly only about 8,000 individual cheetahs in the world.
Shows the limitations of AI query. Would only use it to give me a quick scan of possible information available. Should really be called automated websearch. Would NEVER use it as authoritative resource.
why the hell are you even bothering to post such effing stupidity as a post here on FR?????
why the hell is it newsworthy to post an answer from a stupid programmed AI thingee?
seriously!
Cheetah hunts its prey by running. They are not big and powerful like lion or tiger.

yes, you are correct about the GIGO.
A few weeks ago I asked about something of a political nature and Grok regurgitated a totally incorrect response based on the marxist talking points.
I then told Grok to assess that response against the Constitution and explain how it arrived at that particular essay.
While I felt like it was embarrassed at the error (I know it can’t be) Grok corrected the essay and the system acknowledged the inaccurate perspective of the United States government. “It” went so far as to thank the input information to teaching it something that was outside the algorithm’s purview.
When using AI it is still very much a GIGO situation. There are disclaimers even saying as much.
By abortions?
It took 12 hints for it to finally identify the poem.
I was less than impressed, although there are some things - such as proofreading - that AI does really well. (It's a horrible coder, BTW. At least 20x worse/slower than me in my heyday.)
aren’t most cheetah deaths attributed to a spouse?
GIGO is still true with today’s chat AI. When it becomes sentient then we’re in for a world of shxt.
Maybe you’re thinking of Cougars?…..
Don’t forget the Liger.
There was a question on “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” some years ago. The answers were hippo, lion, tiger, and I want to say crocodile. The answer was that hippo kills the most.
Now ask muslims & Catholics & Christians & Jews & Hindus
