TIM WALZ MUST BE…
Powerline ^ | 12 Mar 2025 | John Hinderaker

Posted on 03/12/2025 10:30:34 AM PDT by Rummyfan

…America’s most unsuccessful politician. He took over as governor of a state that had always been low-crime, and now, for the first time ever, Minnesota’s serious crime rate is higher than the national average. He became governor of a state that had long been prosperous, and after six years, again for the first time ever, Minnesota’s per capita GDP is below the national average. Despite spending astonishing amounts of money, his administration has overseen a steady decline in Minnesota’s public schools, to the point where most Minnesota K-12 students can neither read nor do math at grade level. Again, an unprecedented achievement. And, having become governor of a state with a reputation for clean government, he mired Minnesota in such scandal–American Experiment’s Scandal Tracker is now over $611 million–that we can stake a solid claim to being America’s most corrupt state.

With a record like that, how can it possibly get worse? Tim Walz says: Hold my beer. Two years ago, Minnesota had a $17.6 billion surplus. Walz and his DFL colleagues in Minnesota’s legislature spent the whole surplus, and added $10 billion in new taxes. Now, the current forecast from Minnesota’s Department of Revenue is for a $6 billion deficit.

You might think that with a record that bad, and having been humiliated on the national stage in 2024, Tim Walz would slink off into obscurity. But no! He has hinted that he may be available if his party wants him to run for President in 2028. Meanwhile, he is deliberating whether to run for a third term as governor, or seek the Senate seat being vacated by Tina Smith.

I agree. I think what we will see is individual states following the lead of a federal administration that is, at least, attempting to return fiscal responsibility to government. This is easier to do at the state level and I think federal momentum will reach the states who will follow suit.

Powerline is way too kind. I could think of a dozen words that would be better than “unsuccessful” there.

Ignorant, stupid, clueless, harmful, etc.

Left the state in 2016 after 42 years living there since birth. Same with my wife (40 years living there since birth). I’m sad for our family still living there. The lakes and farmland are beautiful. The summers are fabulous. But it has turned into a complete *&$!show thanks to the cancerous, mentally ill DFL and freaky metro perverts running the show. If ever there was a real life example of dogs returning to their vomit... Minnesota’s elections represent it well.

Ahhh, I can see why CommieLa picked him - the DNC will probably ask him to run for President and the corrupt bimbos and pretentious 'men' of the MSM will swoon and defend him.

Teechur Timmy and his teechur wifey will still be able to cash their nice fat teacher pension checks! :)

>>America’s most unsuccessful politician

Depends on what he was trying to do. If his goal was to destroy Minnesota he was rather successful.

It is dangerous to attribute to incompetence that which is more readily attributed to malice, especially when it keeps happening.

A 55-mile by 70-mile rectangle completely controls Minnesota state politics.

To think that Minnesotans would vote for this guy again, for any office, boggles the mind. Do they have primaries up there?

Walz, along with Harris initially, was the second digit of the big-time middle finger the Democrat/Communist Party gave to our Republic and to patriotic American citizens when they anointed their nominees last year.

The Democrat/Communist Party has truly degraded into nothing more than a highly emotional, dispassionate America-/American-hating cult.

The slow ones never figure it out that when a democrat is in charge of a city state or government it always goes to hell fast and stays there.

Everybody pays when stupidity greed and corruption is in charge of anything.
