And what we're finding is that there's an unelected bureaucracy that is implacably opposed to the president and the cabinet."

They’re calling Elon an unelected co-dictator but Trump made no secret of who would be running the DOGE, and what he would be doing. He was just as much elected as Trump was, but the people stealing taxpayer money were not.

So long as Musk is in Trump’s good graces and has his support and is acting within the law and Constitution the left has nothing to complain about. It’s utterly hypocritical of them to complain that he is “unelected” while they support the unelected autocrats who have been standing and acting against the will of the electorate.

The good-for-me-but-not-for-you Left is being hypocritical? Says who?

And that is the problem the deep state is fighting against. The organs of statecraft originally crafted to fight communism are now fighting the next scourge, domestic populism. It’s a threat to our democracy.

In just a few weeks, Musk’s DOGE initiative has uncovered billions in govt
waste and corruption, exposing rampant mismanagement of taxpayer dollars.
<><>$1.7 billion in unspent COVID relief funds,
<><>$3 billion lost to fraudulent unemployment claims,
<><>$800 million wasted on failed green energy projects.
<><>$200 million on diversity training for bureaucrats
<><> $4.5 billion in foreign aid to hostile regimes with little oversight
<><>$350 billion just to Ukraine
<><>$4.5 trillion in Treasury payments cannot be accounted for.

DOGE REPORT—The Treasury Access Symbol (TAS) is an identification code
linking a Treasury payment to a budget line item (a standard financial process).

In the Biden Government, the TAS field was optional for ~$4.7 Trillion in payments and was often left blank, making traceability almost impossible. As of Saturday, Trump made this a required field, increasing taxpayers’ insight into where their money is actually going.

Official portrait-----Biden US Treasury hire, Nigerian Wally Adeyemo. Biden Treasury hire, Nigerian Wally Adeyemo abruptly quit Treasury when Trump came in. Ademeyo refused to handover documents chronicling his Treasury activities wrt $4.7 trillion in unidentified Treasury payments.

Earlier, the Nigerian headed “Obama’s Foundation” which soon made Obama “a billionaire.”

Is this why Obama said he won’t discuss his Foundation finances?

Just my thoughts about the Democrats' constant claim that "Trump, Vance & Musk are demolishing democracy, taking away all our rights and freedoms, destroying America, and turning the U.S. into a fascist state!":

What Musk is doing for President Trump (and America) is exactly what our Founding Fathers envisioned: American private citizens serving government for a contained period of time and then returning home to continue going about their business.

Our Founding Fathers never intended for the U.S. to have a permanent governing class and ginormous permanent government bureaucracy, with Congressmen and bureaucrats permanently ensconced in the U.S. government from age 22 to age 92 or whatever. After the DOGE team accomplishes the objectives President Trump set out for it, Musk and his team will return home to their business careers. From what I've read, it seems the DOGE team will probably complete their work by June and then return home.

Yet the insane Democrats continue wildly screaming like banshees because they're infuriated that the Trump Administration is doing its best to eliminate fraud, waste and corruption in the U.S. government. Clearly, all Democrats love fraud, waste and corruption.

Thanks to the Trump Administration during its first several weeks in power, the Democrats have been fully exposed to the whole world.

LOL

$350 billion just to Ukraine

In a post on a different thread, I mentioned the U.S. taxpayers have already sent about $200 Billion to Ukraine during the Bye-dein pResidency. I got that number by asking Microsoft copilot. I already know that Microsoft and the other big tech companies have been shills for the Bye-dein pResidency and the (DEI hire) kamaLa pResidential candidacy. So I should have doubled Microsoft's claim that the U.S. has sent $200 Billion to Ukraine. Doubling that gives $400 Billion of U.S. taxpayer donations to Ukraine (which is somewhat close to the $350 Billion figure in your post). That is probably a lot closer to the actual amount, given that Democrats and U.S. bureaucrats love to cover up and hide their wasteful, fraudulent spending of our taxpayer dollars from the American people.

I don't trust Democrats and I don't trust bureaucrats (regardless of political affiliation).

Elon is the best African-American ever since the time slaves were imported from Africa. Elon deserves Nobel prize.

Elon Musk: "All we're really trying to do here is restore the will of the people, through the president.

Sounds like common sense to me.

During the election campaign, Trump constantly said, If you elect me, I'll reform the bureaucratic government and put Musk in charge of identifying where all the bureaucratic fraud, waste and corruption is. Then I'll take action to clean it all up. That's what I'll do.

American voters heard all that and voted (again) for President Trump. Clean up the government bureaucracy. That's exactly what we want done. Democrats and Republicans, for decades, have only let the problem get worse and worse. $36 Trillion debt which is way more than GDP and only getting worse and worse, with no end in sight. And literally nobody in the Uniparty governing class was doing a single thing about it. In fact, they were making it worse and worse. So, thanks President Trump, thanks VP Vance, and thanks, Musk and DOGE team!

President Trump & Elon Musk are basically working for free for the American people. They're both billionaires with President Trump being worth something like $10 Billion or whatever. They both could be retired, totally enjoying their billions. But they're not. Instead, they've both put themselves in a position where they're constantly under heavy pressure, with Democrats and the far-left media constantly bashing them 24/7/365, with no let-up.

President Trump, VP Vance, and Musk deserve our respect for that alone. How many other billionaires are dedicating themselves to the U.S.? Thanks, President Trump, VP Vance, and Musk. (And all the extreme far-left Democrats do is constantly complain about it.)

BULLSEYE! Give this man a kewpie doll! :)

Seriously, when Trump started talking about Elon and DoGE and I started seeing his cabinet picks — regardless of party affiliation, mind — the first thing that came to my mind was “President Trump, for the last four years, has been saying to himself ‘What if we did a kitchen cabinet but with powerhouses, heavy hitters, and non-politicians with axes to grind?’” I swear I still see that as a thing. And that’s what the founders wanted.

“I serve at the pleasure of the President” indeed.
