The Austin 7 was designed specifically to fall under the horsepower tax that was imposed to punish the Model T.

Why does it matter that the car was built in inclement weather?

Was it raining?

,,, my wife and I had a 4/4 from 2000 thru 2006. It was bright red with a leather embossed hood strap, leather seats and a burred walnut dashboard - rostyle wheels, not spokes. It was a 1985 model. Loved it, but then kids came into our lives and we couldn’t get out and about as much. It was money sitting in the garage, doing very little. Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all :)
