The Three Investigators is a series of children’s mystery novels that many members of Generation X, including myself, grew up with.
They’ve been out of print in the U.S. for decades.
But now, all 10 of the books that were written by series creator Robert Arthur are back in print, in paperback.
TOPICS: Books/Literature; Education; Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: books; childrensbooks; classicliterature; generationx; homeschooling; mysterybooks; parenting

With Alfred Hitchcock removed, I’m sure. Loved these books.

Oh, memories! That series almost inspired me to become an author myself, that is, if I had any talent as a writer at all ;-)

It's been a looooong time, but there were a lot more than 10 books though ... weren't there?

I remember them well. They were more cerebral than the Hardy Boys. I just hope they haven’t been edited to be woke.

Great stuff! Always identified with that fatty Jupiter Jones for some reason. Great series alongside The Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew and their British counterparts like the Famous Five and Secret Seven.

I still own a number of original "The Three Investigators" books that I've had since I was a kid back in the 1960s. I'm now reading them out loud to my grandson. He absolutely loves them.
Great memories, both then when I was a kid and now again with my grandson.

They did that back in the 80s. Hitchcock died and there was some sort of problem with the estate.
I have the originals in hardcover, first editions but mostly not first printings.
Third cub read them and asked if we could move to California. I had to explain to him that it was not that way there now.
