WASHINGTON, D.C. — Preparations are well underway in the nation's capital for next Monday's presidential inauguration, with planners announcing that music star Carrie Underwood will be present to perform a new original song titled "Donald, Take the Wheel."
Monday's ceremony promised to be one for the ages, with Trump's team pulling out all the stops to make his historic return to office a memorable one. Underwood was reportedly commissioned to create a new song that captured the current state of the country.
"It's a perfect anthem for where we are as a nation right now," said one insider involved in planning the inauguration. "Everything's been going to hell in a handbasket the last few years, and we're just trying to slam on the brakes to keep the country from going off the cliff before Trump can try to fix things. Carrie's new song encapsulates that mentality."
According to a sneak preview obtained from sources close to Underwood, the song's lyrics were unlike anything she's ever done before:
Donald, take the wheel Take it from Joe's hands 'Cause we can't fix this on our own Make Biden go So we can have a chance To save this country from the Wokes Donald, take the wheel
According to the buzz among the president-elect's team, they were most looking forward to watching him do the Trump dance during Underwood's performance.
At publishing time, rumors circulated that the singer only agreed to perform at the inauguration after Trump threatened to start referring to her as "Carrie Underwear."
Jesus, take the wheel Take it from my hands 'Cause I can't do this on my own I'm letting go So give me one more chance And save me from this road I'm on Jesus, take the wheel
Donald, take the wheel
Take it from Joe’s hands
‘Cause we can’t fix this on our own
Make Biden go
So we can have a chance
To save this country from the Wokes
Donald, take the wheel
Jesus, take the wheel
Take it from my hands
‘Cause I can’t do this on my own
I’m letting go
So give me one more chance
And save me from this road I’m on
Jesus, take the wheel
I’d like to make a long distance dedication...to Cassidy Hutchinson, who should be in a federal women’s prison somewhere.
This one’s a dud.
Awesome
snicker
‘Donald, Where’s Yer Trousers?’ parody would be funnier.
