Never Let a Crisis Go to Waste (SmartLA2028)
Multiple Open Sources | 1/13/25

They had the plan already waiting in the wings. Waiting for funding...just waiting for the crisis, and Newsome isn’t going to let it go to waste. This is what will be sold to the public. And it will all be either done or working prototype before the summer Olympics, heck the Athletes might be first one’s to test it all out in 2028.

Newsome will look like a hero for resurrecting the area from the ashes.

Via X on Meet the Press:

Newsom: We’ve got a Marshall plan to rebuild Los Angeles 2.0

NBC: Tell us about that Marshall plan

Newsom: (puts up hands) We’re just starting to lay it out. We are still fighting these fires!

Reading the PDF doesn’t seem to give you the scope of what Ted Ross is describing. Listening to the video though it is breathtaking. He literally is saying changing the urban environment, changing the infrastructure, manage water, and how we protect people, etc.

At the top of a nearly hour-long briefing in the Roosevelt Room, Biden pledged to send “every resource we can find” to support local officials, praising the firefighters and other first responders as “heroes.” He announced that the federal government would cover the full cost of recovery efforts, which includes things such as debris removal and temporary shelters, for the first 180 days.

“I told the governor and local officials: spare no expense to do what they need to do and contain these fires in their communities that have really been devastated," Biden said. "And we're doing literally everything we can at a federal level."

The president said that U.S. Forest Service personnel have suppressed 50 fire starts over the last 24 hours. He added that he is “surging all federal resources possible” to the region, including 400 additional firefighters and more than 30 helicopters and planes.

A “Marshall Plan” CA Gov. Newsom says = Free Federal Money... Of course that’s what they’d want... sneak the money into an Omnibus Budget Plan... I SEE WHAT YOU’RE DOING...

Plenty of reference out there as to why they won’t. Cost to rebuild is one of them after their fire insurance was pulled 7 months ago. Investors are already out there offering $$$ on the dollar for the land.

Those folks who “saved” their homes? Ever hear of Eminent Domain?

These “SmartCities” are an adaption/progression of one of those “conspiracy theory” UN Agenda 24 (or whatever number it is). My suburb mentions Agenda 24 in the city documents for “managed growth” (”15-minute City”).

The suburb adjacent to us is moving full speed ahead with the smart city thing. Single family lots are now all zoned for 6-unit buildings. It’s nuts.

And no increase it roads. “Everyone will be taking mass transit or walking”.

Yes...and I would make them spend as much as possible fighting it. I am betting the big name starts don’t give a damn but the other folks do.

But that’s just me...Like all dumblecrats, they love planning how to spend other people’s property/money.

What's up with writing an EO for "land use"?

You don’t actually own property in this country anymore.

You rent it from the government.

Newsom will eventually throw up one building, one Potemkin simulacrum of a building, and declare himself the New Hercules. Who needs more funding.

Newsome views this as a literal ‘clear cut’ chance to show the world how it is done.

He’s already waived environmental regulations etc. to be able to move forward with this plan. He’s already waived building permitting and timelines required. He’s already proposing changing zoning from R1 to R3.

Newsome is going to come out of this mess by 2028, with the help of the Federal Government, looking like the shiny new thing for the nation. Olympics 2028, Election 2028, etc.

I am just sitting here shaking my head.

The World Economic Forum

The Global Future Council on Cities 2023-2024 is focused on the urban affordability crisis – a widespread and multifaceted global challenge.

URBAN TRANSFORMATION

Our Alliance is creating smart city governance

Data gathered using IoT technologies is helping cities combat crime, and reduce pollution.

The G20 Global Smart Cities Alliance is establishing global policy norms for data collection and use, transparency, and public trust.

As of May 2022, the Alliance is leading smart city governance initiatives in more than 36 cities around the world.

...

To support their booming urban populations, many cities are coming to rely on the internet of things (IoT)—that is, the world’s ever-expanding network of connected devices—to collect, share and analyse real-time data on urban environments. The data gathered using IoT technologies is helping cities combat crime, reduce pollution, decrease traffic congestion, improve disaster preparedness and more. However, it is also raising growing concerns about privacy and security.

...

The pioneer cities that have been adopting the roadmap and guiding its development towards smart city governance are: Apeldoorn, The Netherlands; Barcelona, Spain; Belfast, UK; Bengaluru, India; Bilbao; Spain; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Bogota, Colombia; Brasilia, Brazil; Chattanooga, USA; Cordoba, Argentina; Daegu, South Korea; Dallas, USA; Dubai, UAE; eThekwini, South Africa; Faridabad, India; Gaziantep, Türkiye; Hamamatsu, Japan; Hyderabad, India; Indore, India; Istanbul, Türkiye; Kampala, Uganda; Kaga, Japan; Kakogawa, Japan; Karlsruhe, Germany; Leeds, UK; Lisbon, Portugal; London, UK; Maebashi, Japan; Manila, Philippines; Medellin, Colombia; Melbourne, Australia; Mexico City, Mexico; Milan, Italy; Muscat, Oman; Newcastle, Australia; Pittsburgh, USA; San Jose, USA, Tampere, Finland and Toronto, Canada.

“A “Marshall Plan” CA Gov. Newscum says = Free Federal Money... “

While I feel for the CA victims of the fire, I am hesitant to support massive funding from FedGov. Look at it like this ... say there is a CA Relief Fund whose job it is to allocate and deliver dollars to various CA agencies tasked with rebuilding the damaged areas. Say that you refuse to donate and also tell your Congress-Critter to vote against any FedGov bailouts.

Your reasons ... primarily the inflation impact:
- consider the increase in your home insurance premiums that will happen next time premiums are due.
- consider the inflationary impact due to the negative impact on shipping from the west coast.
- other supply chain interruptions.

It is likely that anyone who buys groceries, has insurance, etc will for years be indirectly supporting the CA rebuild.

Now I am not saying that we should not support some of the relief efforts with our pocketbooks - you do what you feel is right. I am just pointing out that it will be double-dipping for years.

Biden has already authorized 100% for the next 180 days.

Listen to the link from X, Newsome is including Trump in those future plans. Now consider who is Trump’s little tech brainiac...Musk?

Musk suddenly cozy up to Trump....wow. Lots of puzzle pieces are starting to focus in very sharply.

Let’s see how the high speed rail debacle is doing
https://hsr.ca.gov/about/project-update-reports/

Complete waste of money and energy.
They should have spent money putting power lines underground and building out dams and water reservoirs

I recall the good old days when the leftists had the “Battle in Seattle” where they rioted against the World Trade Organization.

It would be interesting to do the research and see what changed seeing that they now seem to embrace the World Economic Forum. Although I suppose the WTO sides with the free market?

And they actually contributed to it with the lack of water and equipment.

That way they’d have an excuse for allowing it to happen.
