The "South Carolina Ping List" has not been active in more than 16 months. It's time to get it going again, but with a different name and a more focused mission.
My apologies in advance to long time Palmetto State Freepers who have been, and are still, active in trying to make South Carolina great again. This post is directed primarily to Freepers new to South Carolina, and new to our unbelievably screwed up RINO controlled GOP political BS.
And, yes, I generally detest "politicians," especially RINO politicians. I know everyone has heard the old saying about the need to change both politicians and diapers frequently, for the same reasons.
I'm looking for South Carolina Freepers who understand how bad South Carolina Republican politics are (or would like to learn more), and would like to work together within our spheres of influence to Make South Carolina Great Again.
It's 2025. Trump will be back in the White House in 13 days, God willing! That's when the real battle to make America great again begins in Washington. Not just in Washington, but in the rest of the USA. And we, MAGA/America First South Carolinians, have a lot of work to do if we are to do our share in the effort to Make South Carolina Great Again.
Did you know that South Carolina is known as the "bluest of the red states" due to the way our majority RINO SC legislators govern? Though the majority of both Houses of the South Carolina State Legislature are Republicans, they in many cases are just RINOs. They are Republicans in name only. They run for office as Republicans, but when they get to Columbia they vote like Democrats, and even work more closely with Democrats than conservative Republicans. Because the RINOs love our "open primaries" where Democrats help elect Republican candidates, South Carolina has a preponderance of elected Democrats pretending to be Republicans.
Yes, I'm talking about US Senators Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott, as well. But let's not forget about one of the biggest cancers in South Carolina Republican politics, Drew McKissick, the Chairman of the South Carolina GOP.
Less than 1 year ago, McKissick was Co-Chair of the RNC
before resigning that position. He resigned before getting fired. Very few realize that McKissick's other Co-Chair of the RNC was Ronna "McRomney" McDaniel who gets all the blame for nearly killing the RNC before Trump's MAGA team took it over, however McKissick was right there with her while they were doing all they could to undermine Trump and MAGA.
South Carolina has a lot of "fixin" that needs to be done in Columbia. We have our own entrenched Deep State within Republican Palmetto State politics. The RINOs are in control of the South Carolina GOP, and the South Carolina State Senate and House of Representatives.
Did you know that the SC House Republican leadership requires a loyalty oath from all House Republicans? If they don't sign on to the RINO agenda they are penalized by lack of committee and subcommittee assignments, and other means of coercion.
Here's a X.com post from December 10, 2025 by SC Freedom Caucus member Thomas Beach, one of the "good guys" explaining how the SC House Republican "majority" leadership doles out subcommittee assignments to SC Democrats, rather than allow "disloyal" Freedom Caucus members who refuse to bow the knee to the Uniparty to be assigned to these important legislative subcommittees.
Rep. Thomas Beach had this to say in his December 10 post on X.com: "SC House subcommittee assignments are out. You can see from my highlights that three of the chairs are Democrats, and there are multiple Democrat legislators on the committees themselves. One of the chairs is actually the leader of the House Democrat Caucus! But not a single conservative legislator was placed on these committees, much less a member of the House Freedom Caucus. This is what the Uniparty looks like. This is what the RINO and Democrat caucuses voted for when they unanimously elected Murrell Smith as Speaker.
We have about 17 "good guy" MAGA/America First Republicans in the House "SC Freedom Caucus." They need all the help they can get from, we the people, to encourage our non-Freedom Caucus legislators to do the right thing in the SC General Assembly.
It's 2025. This is a crucial year in South Carolina politics when we have the opportunity to get involved in our local county Republican parties. Everyone complains about our choices at the ballot box when we go to vote. When you get involved in your local political party, you get to help help filter out RINO's and keep the SC GOP moving to the right.
I don't have a whole lot of answers to the myriad of problems in South Carolina politics. But I'm willing to work with MAGA/America First Conservatives who are willing to do our share at the state and local level in South Carolina, as we hope and pray that DJT fulfills his promises from Washington to make America great again.
Yes, MAGA political candidates are elected by MAGA voters, but there's a good bit of behind the scenes work needed to move things in the right direction. That's what I am encouraging South Carolinians to do; to get involved with their local County GOP Parties.
So, here's the plan to Make South Carolina Great Again beginning in 2025: MAGA Can Redeem the SCGOP
And how do you get up to speed on South Carolina politics?
1. Get involved in your local County Republican Party and find MAGA people you can work with and become, at least, a Precinct Committeeman 2. Get friend s and family involved in your County GOP, as well and repeat (Step #1 above)

Hopefully, this will help you get up to speed, if you are so inclined, and prepare you to work locally in your County GOP with your fellow South Carolinians to Make South Carolina Great Again.

I'm not in South Carolina (I'm in New York, God help me), but my wife spent time in SC teaching around the turn of the century, before returning North. So there's a connection of sorts there.
