#SreemoyTalukdar says that it is "impossible for firms to hire foreign workers by bypassing Americans qualified for the job."
The New York Times disagrees with him.

You should see the stack of papers my son had to accumulate JUST to work at McDonald’s
No wonder small companies hire illegals!
What are the thoughts of the disgusting open borders, Chamber of Commerce Repukelicans on this forum?
From the Beacon Hill Talukdars?
Perhaps his Nan was in the Daughters of the American Revolution with Grandmother.
As much as it pains me to say it, the NYT is correct... and that ‘highly skilled’ requirement is hardly a barrier: 20 years ago, my experience included reports from at-that-time co-workers that Indians were cheating on skill tests with perhaps 1 in 10 of them actually having the skills and then the other 9 would rely on that one guy to get the work done.
I remember employees having to train their H1B replacements. And these weren’t slackers who didn’t want to work; they were baby boomers and Gen Fed’s who knew how to be responsible employees. However, with Millennials and Gen Zer’s, I’m not so sure...
You might have done the same, if you did not have a bank account that could sustain you while looking for a replacement job.
Sreemoy Talukdar must have a poser on his wall
ILLEGALS DOING THE WORK AMERICAN’S WON’T DO
This brings out one aspect of H1B and the other sham visa programs-- the growing corporate sense of entitlement to lawbreaking as a business strategy, which will destroy the notion of equality under law necessary for a republic.
The H1B visa program not only impoverishes Americans, but attacks the foundations of the rule of law.
Liar. I worked for several large firms in CaCaLand. H1B’s are favored.
