In reality, the H1B program is very heavily abused. I’ve heard that janitors and maids and other jobs that require no training to do are being called H1B jobs.

That may be so but Elon wanted to play politics and the first rule of politics is: I don't care what you did for me yesterday. What are you going to do for me today?

President Trump needs to cut Elon and Vivek loose. I would start an A1-a program that promotes the hiring of American Citizens. Surcharge the crap out of the H1-B visa companies to pay for it.

So the companies are not viable without H1-B subsidies from the government. So who cares?
