Politico Upset that Biden Pardon Will Undermine Opposition to Trump Appointments

The head of news at Politico, Alexander Burns, is upset over Joe Biden's blanket pardon for his son Hunter. Forget Hunter's crimes. Burns is irked is because the Biden pardon now makes it much more difficult to oppose President-Elect Donald Trump's appointments on moral and legal grounds because of the sleazy pardon. A situation which Burns whined about in his story on Monday, "Joe Biden’s Parting Insult."

Before you even get to the body of the text, the subtitle keys the reader in to what Burns finds to be his reason as to what really disturbs him about the pardon: "The president delivered a vote of no confidence in a justice system preparing for siege."

Politico doesn't give a damn about the Biden pardon except for the fact that it HELPS Trump get his appointments which IRKS them.

This pardon is a brilliant gift to Trump. It does two things:

1. Shows that Democrats — at least Biden — also believe the DoJ unfairly targets people for political reasons. Which is exactly what Trump has been saying!

2. Provides cover for Trump to pardon individuals he thinks have been such targets, like the J6ers. And family members and friends for personal reasons, as well. (He would do this anyway, of course, but now it will cost him less political capital.)

And this may not be the end of it from Biden. I wouldn’t be surprised if on Jan 19th he issues a sweeping pardon for hundreds or thousands of people who he thinks may be a “target” of Trump. THAT will really open Pandora’s box.

I want to believe Slow Joe did this as a giant middle finger to 0bambi. Now Hunter will be forced to testify before Congress about his foreign dealings for the past decade.

As Bongino pointed out on his show today, 0bambi made Slow Joe his point man for Ukraine. Either he knew about Joe and Hunter's sleazy foreign deals and did nothing, or didn't know and will look like a complete fool.

Either way, 0bambi's legacy will be blown to smithereens.

I’m trying not to over think this stuff — because I do think Joe is a potato and not a master strategist. But I think Joe wanted Kamala to lose and I think he said some stuff that helped Trump win. I think Joe was thrilled when Trump won. And now Joe may be setting the stage where Trump has broad powers to pardon people, and Hunter may “unfortunately” have to testify against Obama. I kind of feel like Joe wants to take down the entire Democrat Party for their little coup against him.
