The University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents has recommended a number of new and revised policies for its institutions, such as a commitment to institutional neutrality, the prohibiting of DEI tactics, and a mandatory education in America’s founding documents.
The University System of Georgia (USG) is made up of Georgia’s 26 public colleges and universities as well as Georgia Archives and the Georgia Public Library Service.
“USG institutions shall remain neutral on social and political issues unless such an issue is directly related to the institution’s core mission,” the board’s proposed revisions read.
“Ideological tests, affirmations, and oaths, including diversity statements,” will be banned from admissions processes and decisions, employment processes and decisions, and institution orientation and training for both students and employees.
“No applicant for admission shall be asked to or required to affirmatively ascribe to or opine about political beliefs, affiliations, ideals, or principles, as a condition for admission,” the new policy states.
Additionally, USG will hire based on a person’s qualifications and ability.

Teach the Constitution? Is that allowed?
Now if they can just succeed in educating the young ones and have it stick thru the college system, they’ll become a role model for the rest of the country. Wishing them luck.
Gee, what’s going on in this country?
It’s about time.
All they needed to see is President Trump’s shadow walking towards the WH and many of these woke institutions are starting to cave.
Right on.
If scholarships on athletic teams are awarded on merit, is there any reason why admissions can not be based on merit?
This is all good. However, you should arrive to college\university with an understanding of the US foundational documents - Constitution, Declaration, etc. through a high school civics class! It used to be that civics was a HS graduation requirement. I guess it isn’t now.
And that must change! Civics should be required through ALL the secondary grades till graduation.
bout time!
How ‘Bout Them Dawgs!
The push to go full retard seems to be failing. Good news!
This DEI bs is quickly ending.
They will simply hire white woke fresh graduates that share their ideology. What can a university leadership do? Requiring an ideological litmus test?
More winning!!!
The hussein obama agenda is dying — woke, racial issues, pro-war, lgbtq, commies, muslim brotherhood, etc.
Again, it’s EASY to ban something that is now despised by the public, but the change is mostly symbolic until the people associated with it (likely 70% of the people now working at universities) are also removed.
When that happens, we can start celebrating, as right now, they’re just burrowing-in to buy time.
“How ‘Bout Them Dawgs!”
Hasn’t it been a great season? Only a couple of hiccups.
Tomorrow is going to be another great game against rival Georgia Tech. I admit that I’m a little worried about that one.
BINGO! I am acquainted with a law school professor at UGA who is lesbian. She retires next year. We had a conversation 2+ years ago in which she acknowledged that the UGA non-teaching staff is way too large, i.e, DEI indoctrinators. It is way too early to celebrate the end of DEI. Larry Fink/BlackRock and Vanguard are not going to just give up. Saw an article a week back which stated that college enrollment is down 6% this year. Alumni have to start starving their alma maters.

I don’t have any associations, but I do know how both sides think, and our side ALWAYS celebrates too early, while the other side, simply pulls back a bit to buy time. As you get at, we have to drive DEI out by pulling it out at its ruts.
