The Hill’s “Rising” co-host Amber Duke walked off set after her co-host Nomiki Konst said Duke “made Nazi comments in the past.”
“Rising is shorter than usual today because I chose not to continue sitting at a desk with someone who falsely accused me of ‘Nazi writings’ because they were losing an argument,” Duke, who previously worked as the Daily Caller’s White House Correspondent, tweeted Tuesday.
“I think I have been unfathomably patient with my cohost but everyone has a line,” she wrote.
The pair were discussing a controversy surrounding former CNN contributor Ryan Gidursky’s dismissal from the network when Konst said “you’ve made Nazi comments in the past, I’m not gonna bring that up.”
Duke defended herself. “I haven’t made Nazi comments,” she retorted.
“After the segment was over my cohost started screaming and insisting I had done Nazi writings while working for the Daily Caller. We got into it once before off air but nothing like this. It was incredibly toxic,” Duke told the Daily Caller.
“I left because I won’t sit at a desk with someone who would seriously accuse me of Nazism. Oddly enough, I took my rosary with me to the studio and set it next to my computer this morning because I had a feeling something bad was going to happen. I think it’s the only way I was able to stay relatively calm throughout the ordeal,” she concluded.
The spat stemmed from their Gidursky discourse after he jokingly told pro-Palestinian commentator Medhi Hasan’s he hopes his “beeper doesn’t go off” during a Monday episode of CNN‘s “News Night With Abby Phillip.”
The joke was likely a reference to the mass-pager explosions that Israel allegedly orchestrated against members of the terrorist organization Hezbollah based in Lebanon. Girdusky made the comment after Hasan quipped “if you don’t want to be called Nazis, stop … saying things.”
The Daily Caller reached out to Rising and Konst for comment but did not hear back by time of publication.
Unless the Left pulls back from this course, it’s inevitable.
She should have asked specifically what Nazi comments
Roger that!
There are a lot of negative descriptions that are no longer tolerated by society, we need to add Nazi, fascist to the list.
Ditto for “Populist”.
What is possibly coming is a War Of Culture. There will be no lines drawn on a battlefield between the military and civilians, nor between Socialists/Commies/Anarchists against Conservatives.
However a sporadic guerilla war seems possible between Constitutional Patriots and the BLM, Antifa, and just stupid students. Once those scum organize and move towards the suburbs after destroying their own cities, all bets are off.
“She should’ve never retreated.”
Maybe not. The left over the last number of decdes has used words, many times just flat out lies, to get a response and push aside issues. I think this was anothere case. Getting into an argument with a lying liberal is worthless. They do not shut up, they do not admit fault, and they will do it every time. So nothing is achieved with arguing with a dishonorable person when only the noise is all that is going to be heard.
And that type of chicken little technique is a tool not to decide something but to fog another one. It never decides anything but whoever is the loudest or forceful wins. And calling them a liar and a bully, won’t make points as people have been trained to enjoy conflict no matter who is right or wrong. It’s not about finding answers, it’s about enjoying the clash.

The last refuge of losers.
She should ask Nomiki Konst if she’s stopped beating her wife.
Who are these conservative co-hosts I’ve never heard of?
Ancient ruins. In Turkey.
Do what they would do, use their own rules against them:
File a hostile work environment complaint.
I think I have a vague memory of a live TV politics show back in the 1960s and Gore Vidal called Wm. F. Buckley a Nazi, the latter promptly rising and beating the p!$$ out if Mr. Vidal on live TV. LOL!
Kunst is part of the problem.

By this time next week Konst (I checked the spelling) should be asking customers, "do you want fries with that?" At McDonalds. In Pennsylvania.
LOL!
Oh, I’m gonna steal that line.
This nation will not be ‘split up’. We settled that discussion in 1865. They cannot have our Union, our Republic. The means for defending it have been provided for both peaceful defense and otherwise. We are the United States of America and we will remain so despite these bastards.
Any civil war between them and normal would be short and our side would win quickly. It would be greatly one-sided.
And let’s not forget all the vile things the left said about George W Bush and Ronald Reagan when they were president.
