The head of the discredited Fox News decision desk has warned that the presidential election result will likely take around five days.
In another complete break from presidential election norms, Fox News pollster Arnon Mishkin has said that he is expecting the race to be called by the Saturday after election day, some five days after the polls have closed.
Mishkin, who is a registered New York Democrat and was responsible for the infamous Fox News call in Arizona back in 2020, said in an interview with Politico.
The report states:
The man who may call the winner of the 2024 presidential election is ready to make a prediction for at least when the news will come.
“The over/under is Saturday,” said Arnon Mishkin, the head of Fox News’ decision desk. “Which was when the call was made last time.”
In an interview with POLITICO Magazine at the News Corp. building in Midtown Manhattan, Mishkin said that he plans on calling the election as soon as he can, but that a protracted vote count means it may take a few days.
Regardless though, he said he feels no pressure from executives at the conservative-leaning network to “make our audience happy.”

If Harris is in the lead in most swing states, it will be called by midnight, or 2AM at the latest.
If Trump is leading in swing states, they’ll drag it out. Remember 2016? The networks were stalling for hours. They got embarrassed when Hillary conceded after it had been clear that Trump had won.
So said Josef Stalin— the ultimate Democrat! A mob of thugs running a merciless dictatorship and slave labor camps all over the country. A cult figure of massively incompetent leadership in WWII slaughtering his troops in the millions. Which was fine with FDR and Churchill of course. But oh, how we paid after the war— what we gave away to this monster.
Hillary didn’t concede until the following day.
A Great FReeper indeed! RIP. 2ndDivisionVet. Don’t know if Army or Marine. USA.
Next, you'd either go into a voting machine (a paper ribbon tape thing) or a stand where you'd punch out holes that was your vote.
When done, they'd collect your ballot and would offer you an Oreo and a "I Voted" sticker.
By midnight or the next morning, you knew who won.
Now with "technology" it takes up to 5 days??
Taiwan just had a presidential election.
Everyone voted in person, by hand.
Votes were counted as soon as the polls closed, in full view of everyone and anyone and tallied as they were counted.
The whole country finished in a couple hours with accurate election results.
Taiwan is 23 million people. Most states are much smaller than that.
There is no reason why our vote can’t be as efficient and accurate.
US Army 2nd Division Intelligence Analyst. This meant South Korea on the DMZ. The frontline against looney Soviet/Russian/Chinee- client state N. Korea.
Yes, RIP. His last post on record was in 2019. Maybe covid- have lost track sorry to say.
What is the chance Harris, as president of the Senate, would ever certify an election she didn’t win? How about five years instead of five days?
Mishkin is STILL in that job— after massive incompetence- paid for by demonrats, and don’t forge BOD member Ryan! Who the hell would ever have run with Romney- and think they would, win?
Yeah...before I voted.
Don’t watch Fox.
They didn't call it before the polls closed. They just called it before other networks did. But they were right.
WOW
I had no idea exactly what it meant.
Thanks.
Oh, he had lost a leg to diabetes and if he had gotten COVID badly, it may have taken him.
He had several issues.
But he is rememebered for his great contributions to the board
Well it is going to take a few days for the Dems to “find” all them extra votes needed to put Kamala over the top.
I am sure it takes the Dead a little longer to fill out and mail in a ballot.
I’m so glad others remember!!
He told me some wild stories of his time serving.
I would guess some kind of Intelligence unit and another FReeper who knows about that said he was involved in NK in some capacity.
There was another FReeper, Farmer Dean...what a GREAT guy...just a huge heart.
I stayed in touch with him for years after he got cancer...I actually was the last person to speak to him.
He said he was going to sleep while on the phone with me at the hospital.
He never woke up.
God I miss a bunch of people that used to be here!!
But they wouldn’t want to hear me ##### and moan and they’d want me/us to keep fighting the good fight!!
Have a good night all.
I guess that’s how long it takes for the Pony Express to deliver the ballots..
"... a protracted vote count means it may take a few days [??? emphasis added]."
FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument
Regarding FN's so-called “a few days” for electoral vote results, FN once again seems to be ignoring that the states, under the boots of the corrupt, constitutionally undefined political parties, are not complying with constitutional rules for electoral votes.
To begin with, the states have never expressly constitutionally given ordinary citizen voters the express constitutional power to vote for POTUS like we have for members of Congress.
To the contrary, the Constitution mandates a very small number of official state legislature-appointed electors for each state, not the current millions of citizen voters who don't have power to vote for POTUS.
After all, constitutional drafters established the Electoral College to make sure that the right person is in the wartime Oval Office.
At the other extreme, the Electoral College is MAJOR OVERKILL for making sure that the right person is in the peacetime Oval Office to make sure that your mail is delivered promptly, the US Mail Service being one of the very few MAJOR powers that the states have given to the feds to dictate peacetime domestic policy.
"Article I, Section 8, Clause 7: To establish Post Offices and post Roads;"
"It is one of a few government agencies explicitly authorized by the Constitution of the United States." (non-FR)
The congressional record shows that Rep. John Bingham, a constitutional lawmaker, had clarified the federal government's constitutionally limited powers as follows.
”Simply this, that the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Constitution, is in the States and not in the federal government [emphases added]. I have sought to effect no change in that respect in the Constitution of the country.” —John Bingham, Congressional. Globe. 1866, page 1292 (see top half of third column)
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.
In other words, if a given federal social spending program is not reasonably related to the Mail Service, then you can bet that it is unconstitutional, based on stolen state powers, and win your bet probably most of the time.
Getting back to constitutional electoral vote rules, note that official electors are required to meet together, vote by write-in ballot, sum up lists of vote totals for each candidate, then sign, certify, seal and transmit the sealed lists to Office of VP in unbroken chain of custody.
"Article II, Section 1, Clause 2 (2.1.2): Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress [emphasis added]: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector."
Excerpted from 12th Amendment (12A):
"The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots [all emphases added] the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice- President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate;--The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;--The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; ..."
In other words, it is logistically impossible for millions of people to meet together and comply with constitutional electoral vote rules imo.
Next, I'm going to pick on California (CA) regarding how long it might take a small number of official electors to determine who gets their state's electoral votes, CA's electoral votes the most of any state.
Simply put, given CA's 64 electors, I could probably tally votes for all candidates, including double-checking, in under an hour.
In other words, the work of deciding candidate totals from millions of votes is political party smoke and mirrors, evidenced by FN saying that totals might not be ready for a few days.
Also, regarding state winner-take-all laws for electoral votes, the states actually surrendered their power to make such laws when they ratified Constitution imo. In fact, renegade states probably take advantage of the inevitable confusion of deciding electoral votes based on millions of votes to cheat the ballot box.
In fact, despite hypocritical "all votes count" mantra by elite desperate Democrats, Justice Joseph Story had explained that when political parties divide a state's electoral votes, doing so weakens (obviously) a state's total electoral votes for each candidate, comparable to when a state's federal senators vote yes and no on an issue, effectively cancelling each other's votes.
"In case of any party divisions in a state, it may neutralize its whole vote [emphasis added], while all the other states give an unbroken electoral vote." —Justice Joseph Story, Article 2, Section 1, Clauses 2 and 3, Commentaries on the Constitution 3, 1833.
Since Congress and renegade states have repeatedly proven that they are enemies of the people imo, it is now up to Democratic and Republican Trump supporters to effectively "impeach and remove" ALL (exceptions?) state and federal lawmakers and executives in November.
In fact, it's up to us Trump supporters to take the first MAJOR step in draining the swamp by supporting hopeful Trump 47 with a new, Constitution-respecting Congress, new state lawmakers too, not only so that he will not be a lame duck president from the first day of his second term, but will support him to quickly finish draining the swamp.
Finally, let's not allow the anti-Trump media try to fade our memories of what we witnessed on July 13.

It wont matter ....it’s still going to be a MAGA blowout...
Could it be that they need 5 days to undo their chest, knowing this time they’ll be jail bound when caught?
The 1980 race was called around 11ish IIRC.
