Sometimes luck is on our side.
Not even a 75” TV would fit her in a picture or video.
We have Elon, RFK Jr., and Tulsi.
They have a Lizzo.
We win!
Facts are stubborn things.
Uninformed stupid people are too.
If only Lizzo’s brain was as big as her ass, she would be the next Einstein.
So they can blame it on him.
I've heard this many times before.
A $15 million house?
This is not a snark at Lizzo personally. I just don’t understand the huge amounts of money being earned by people who, at least to me, seem highly unlikely prospects for catching the leprechaun at the end of the rainbow. A few years back, Lizzo caught the fat-chic boom and probably cashed in there, but I can’t grok the economics of that either. Who pays for this kind of stuff?
Back in the day, I could understand that the Beatles sold a lot of records. I could understand authors who sold a lot of books (count ‘em on the fingers on one hand). I could understand movie stars whose films packed theaters and generated lucrative residuals for years, for the few who were big enough stars to command lucrative contracts. (Most working actors, then and now, don’t make big bucks.) Like ‘em or hate ‘em, they made a tangible product and if they sold enough of it, they could make money.
Today, I just don’t understand where all the money is coming from. It used to be that actual paying customers ultimately determined who made money. Now huge amounts of money seem to be coming from advertisers with endorsement and branding deals.
Customers are being marginalized. One result is that the chaff to wheat ratio across entertainment media is steadily increasing. I’d like to know how much of their money the streamers make from data mining and the sale of our profiles to advertisers.
Stupid people, ask the Kardashians.
I’ve thought for years that the democrats have long accepted bankruptcy and have been planning to win the bankruptcy reorganization. They want to expand dependency as much as possible to balloon the constituency for socialism when the house of cards collapses and “only the government can save us.” Never mind that government will have caused to collapse.
To the democrats, the annihilation of small business and a financially secure middle class are features, not bugs. The democrats want a patron-client society with a permanent, entrenched one-party state deciding winners and losers.
The Kardashians are a good example. What are the economics of that freakshow? Because of my relatively new retirement hobby with the movies (an endless snipe hunt to find the scattering of worthy, conservative friendly films in the wasteland), I lurk at a variety of sites that definitely lean left on culture war issues.
My mole’s eye view is that the Kardashians are held in almost universal contempt, by liberals as well as conservatives. The only apparent difference is that liberals will lean over backwards to be non-judgmental, while conservatives will openly mock them. But do they really have a fan base apart from teenage girls who are attracted to celebrity for its own sake and follow them on social media?
How does that get monetized? The teenage girls don’t have much money to spend. They click and gawk. That generates hits on a website, but I don’t imagine there’s much consumer spending power backing that up.
Or all the other blue cities.
She .Just have lost weight, she used to fly on a cargo jet.
she used to fly on a cargo jet.
How did the plane manage to take off?
Google earth says she won’t fit in my block either. wondering if USPS has a separate zip code for her.
I would imagine that most of her fans are as fat and gross as she is. There is a huge collection of obese woman who will pretend being fat is beautiful and healthy and will pay good money to get validation from the profane and disgusting.
Better than Kamala Harris leaving the country looking like Detroit is if she will just leave the country.
Wow…I’ve not seen her before…she’s ummm…large
Not a fan of them, but 2 of them are worth over $1 billion dollars, and the others for hundreds of millions. I don’t get it either.
Redd Foxx: It’s the big one!
