Fans at Florida’s Disney World theme park are furious and offended over the extremely high prices of the food at a new bakery opening this fall with a single slice of cake priced as high as $26, and a Coca Cola at $8 a cup.

I’ve never been, but don’t they sell cards that cover the cost of meals and snacks?
I won’t go because I hate crowds.
We always eat a big breakfast before going into any venue knowing that their prices are horrible. Americans are too used to eating every damn hour of the day. No wonder we are overweight and fat!
Well, Disney has to somehow make up for all the revenue lost on ‘The Acolyte’, all the woke Marvels movies, woke ‘Star Wars’....
Woke grooming propaganda isn’t going to pay for itself.
Never ceases to amaze me the people’s attraction to modern Disney. There are childless adults obsessed with Disney. The whole thing is gay now.
Walt must be spinning in his grave.
It’s like airports, they know you’re captive.
You don’t have to go to Disney parks, buy their merch, or watch their movies or stream them. Just walk away and stay away.
Tell Kommiela that it’s price gouging.
The first time I went to WDW was in 1982. Entry was $16/day.
Zero sympathy for anyone who supports Disney. Let them pay even double those prices.
“a single slice of cake priced as high as $26, and a Coca Cola at $8 a cup”
Sounds like they’re competing with the nfl on who can screw their fan base more.
I haven’t been to a Disney park since 1999.
I don’t mis it a bit.
Disney used to be a place that was entertainment for children. Now it is for adults who never grew up.
When our kids were young we took them to Disney in California and my in laws brought their two sons. We all enjoyed ourselves. That was a long time ago. We didn’t need cards. It was crowded but bearable then. No way I would go now.
Agreement bump.
Why complain, businesses can charge whatever they want. Look into that before going if it’s a possible issue. Does popcorn cost more at the movies than at the grocery? Duhh.
Yeah, they never talk about “gouging” movie ticket prices.
Many of them probably voted for it.
Many don't care what the prices are because they pay with their EBT card.
Been once to Disney World in FL. My BIL & sister took me & wife. This was early December in the evening. The crowds were all packed along the main routes waiting for the big parades, 2 per night. Not many folks around otherwise.
We walked up and got directly on the rides at Splash Mountain & Thunder Mountain. Had about a 10 minute wait at the ghost house thing Had about a 15 minute wait at Small World, which my BIL cruelly insisted on because he knew we’d never get the Small World song out our heads, thought about it for days afterwards.
I know Disney World is The Enemy. If you have to go, I’d suggest the Christmas season in the evening when 90% of the customers are jammed around the main streets in the park. And the fireworks show late at night was great also.
