New York and California are pouring huge sums of money into this race to try to upset Cruz. But when it comes time to re-elect John Wayne Cornyn, they won’t try nearly as hard being he is an assistant democrat.

1) Republicans have taken Texas for granted.

2) There are a lot complacent Republican leaders in TX who have less than stellar records addressing the immediate needs of people. Like reforming the electrical power grid, which has been compromised during freezing cold winters and hurricane fallout in the intensely humid summer. People suffered power outages for weeks.

3) Lots of Californians moved to Texas. And hipster enclaves like Austin have Hollywood and Silicon Valley ties, driving the state’s cultural direction.

4) Texas is a border state and Latinos are not a monolith voting block by any means, but there is definitely a culturally Marxist brand of politics that resonates with sizable segment.

5) Megachurch fatigue. Megachurch corruption has impacted the spiritual condition of Texas. Materialism and sports idolatry are more a thing.

6) George Soros

7) The legacy of prominent Texas-based feminism championed by likes of the late former governor Ann Richards and her daughter Cecile, who led Planned Parenthood for many years.

If it was not for his wife being a partner at goldman-sucks I would like to have seen Ted as President at one time. I have said that Cruz writes legal briefs in his head while presenting them to the Supreme Court verbatim while taking random questions from the Justices on matters of legal precedence and theory and is usually at least 3 to 5 pages ahead of what he is presenting in his thinking. An NFL linebacker or whatever is not even in the same universe as Cruz. His bell must have been rung too many times to have agreed to debate Cruz.

You should have a “block number” feature in your phone’s arsenal. Texting back “stop” just confirms they hit a working number, imho.
Now, they will just use another number tomorrow, but just keep blocking them. They are not going to stop. They will just ignore the law. [And this is both sides, btw. I get more Republican texts than dumblecrat ones.]

THAT said, Cruz is a very able and smart senator. I am always surprised he is not 10 points ahead. But it shows how corrupted with leftist sewerage even TX has become.
