I just watched Mr. Jones last night. I knew about Walter Duranty lying in the New York Times about Stalin's mass starvation of the Kulaks in Ukraine (Holodomor) and the Pulitzer prize the NYT received for his false reporting, but no real details. Mr. Jones is an excellent but disturbing movie. Nothing has changed in the intervening eighty years. The NYT is just as sleazy as it ever was, and the elite (represented by Mr. Duranty) every bit as debauched and evil as they ever were. And, frighteningly enough for me, I see parallels in what was done to the Kulaks and what the globalists are doing and want to do to us today. The war on farming is the same exact thing Stalin did to the Kulaks that led to the starvation of ten million people.

Threads on Mr. Jones have been posted before, but not for three and a half years. I think a lot of people would be interested in seeing it, which is why I am bringing it up again.

So the title of New York Slimes is not new to them.
Good movie.
Western commies and commie apologists were debauched dirtbags and perverts 100 years ago and have remained so ever since. Marxism is highly attractive to psychopaths, sociopaths and perverts of all stripes because its diktats encourage and reinforce sick behaviors and satanic beliefs.
BTW, Duranty's Pulitzer still hangs outside the walls of the NYT editorial board office. Retch.

Mr. Jones: Unmasking the cult of Stalin
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-4qHij88dSQ
In 1933, Welsh journalist Gareth Jones traveled to the Soviet Union to investigate rumors of events in Ukraine. What he uncovered was an immense man-made famine and one of the greatest crimes of the twentieth century—the Holodomor. Despite millions of deaths, Kremlin propagandists and other Soviet-friendly Western journalists downplayed and denied his reporting. Mr. Jones, a new movie directed by Agnieszka Holland, explores the incredible story of Jones’ struggle to expose the horrors occurring under Joseph Stalin at a time when Western reports were laudatory. The Holodomor stands out as one of the greatest tragedies of the Soviet regime, with Ukraine still fighting for its recognition and understanding of this dark chapter.
Agnieszka Holland, the director of Mr. Jones, and Andrea Chalupa, the writer of Mr. Jones, join Anne Applebaum, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, historian and author of Red Famine: Stalin’s war on Ukraine to discuss how this movie, and others like it, can serve as a vehicle for exploring and acknowledging histories that have long been downplayed, and the challenges faced by those working to shed light on inconvenient truths.

Imagine the kinds of people who would be attracted like a magnet to Washington, the capital of the richest nation in history.
Yes, this movie is a must-see.
Here are some of the books that I have read on the truth about the Soviet Terror Famine:
The Harvest of Sorrow: Soviet Collectivization and the Terror-Famine by Robert Conquest
Gareth Jones: Eyewitness to the Holodomor.
Also, I have mentioned previously the HBO series Chernobyl. Not sure how this series survived the left wing censors, but it not only tells the truth about Chernobyl, it also portrays the day to day and historical insanity of communism / socialism.
“Marxism is highly attractive to psychopaths, sociopaths and perverts of all stripes because its diktats encourage and reinforce sick behaviors and satanic beliefs.”
And the people who know it best were the ones who were forced to live under it and want NOTHING to do with it, as it now means Repopulation and Grooming, along with destruction of economies.
“Here are some of the books that I have read on the truth about the Soviet Terror Famine”
Another great book on the horrors of Soviet Communism is “One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich”, by Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Short book and REQUIRED READING in today’s Russia (something the Zeepers would prefer you not know).
I'm shocked even this one was made. Let's see who made it. Was it Hollywood pray tell?
Agnieszka Holland (Polish): Directed the movie
Andrea Chalupa (Ukranian): Wrote and co-produced the movie
Angus Lamont (British): Produced the movie
Klaudia Smieja (Polish): Produced the movie
Egor Olesov (Ukranian): Produced the movie
Stanislaw Dziedzic (Polish): Produced the movie
LOL! Now I see how this movie got made. Not one single person from Hollywood.
Even more accurate and depressing is the 2017 movie BITTER HARVEST, available on Amazon Prime.

Mr Jones is the Hollywood / Deep State version of the story. Ukrainian Socialists loyal to Soviet Socialism implemented the Holodomir on their people. Kulaks in Russia were also affected by this same collectivization. Additionally, wealthy westerners (including titans of American industry) funded the Soviet Revolution. You know, the same billionaire types afflicting us now. Smart Christians left Ukraine and Russia before they were killed
A little off topic, but do you know if “The Fiddler on the Roof” takes place in Ukraine during this era?
I recorded the movie, The Killing Fields and watched it the other night and what a self-serving sanctimonious movie about the NY Times.
I like to think it started recently but that movie demonstrated to me its been going on for a long time.
I watched it again a while back also. What I caught the second time around was that Sam Waterson’s character seemed to set Haing S. Ngor’s character up to be left behind so he could have something to write about if he ever made it out.

The True Story behind the ‘True Story’ of Mr Jones
by
Gareth Jones’ great nephew,
Philip Colley
Excerpt:
“ The film leads the viewer to believe only Ukraine was affected, but, as my uncle reported, millions were dying across the Soviet Union. In his famous Berlin press conference, on 29 March 1933 on leaving Russia, he reports: ‘Everywhere was the cry, ‘’There is no bread. We are dying.’’ This cry came from every part of Russia, from the Volga, Siberia, the North Caucasus, Central Asia.’ Gareth was not just a ‘Hero of the Ukraine’, he was also a hero for people suffering across the Soviet Union; he was a hero for truth. So, when used as the central character in a film by Agnieszka Hollande, billed as “the most important true story you will ever watch”, and when much of what is presented in that film is not true, it needs to be pointed out. Is it really acceptable to promote a film prominently as a ‘true story’ and then in small print at the end of a long list of credits hide behind a standard disclaimer stating there are fictional elements?”

John Malkovicz’s character in the movie infers that as well.
This is an extremely powerful movie. One of the most powerful I have ever seen.
It is also extremely grim.
The party scene is disgusting. The revulsion adds to the power of the movie. It lays bare the depth, ghastliness, and evil of corruption--of all corruption. It shows the hideous face of corruption.
The ghastliness of the Kolya scene reveals again the horror of evil and adds again to the power of the movie.
Thank you for recommending it and calling attention to it.
It is exactly as you said.
