Midway through former President Donald Trump's Friday town hall event in Fayetteville, North Carolina, he was given an extraordinary gift by an extraordinary man.
A decorated Vietnam War veteran, identified only as Dwight, appeared on stage halfway through the event to present the Republican presidential nominee with a “small token.”
That "small token" was the Marine's Purple Heart.
Before the presentation, Florida Republican Rep. Anna Paulina, the moderator of the town hall, read a letter the decorated Marine had penned to Trump shortly after the assassination attempt in Butler, Pa., on July 13.

What should Trump get for the second attempt?
Purple hearts are for shedding blood. The second attempt drew no blood, thank God.
Yet the left, despite a death at the event, dismisses PDJT wounding as not significant. Having a grazing wound to your ear by a projectile going 2,500-3,000 fps would have them still curled up whimpering in a fetal position. Semper Fi sir and thank you for your service.
God bless that Marine.
Marines/Navy put a 5/16 th gold star on the ribbon for second woundings. Army puts an oak leaf on the ribbon.

That marine almost surely gave his blood for his country, or he wouldn’t have a purple heart to give.
Dang. That’s an impressive gesture.
Exactly.
"The enemy have us surrounded, they won’t get away this time”
Now that’s classy
God bless that Marine.
I saw that and was so moved by it. That poor Marine was so nervous....God bless him!
If anyone knows how to repay a favor, it is DJT.
Just watch.
Bump to the top
Unfortunately, even blood shed from a grain of rice in the butt-cheek from a ‘nade tossed in a rice bag.
Uplifting article of the day. Thank you Marine. And thank you President Trump for getting right back up with blood streaming down your face. Both are real men.
