Amsterdam, New York Business Owner Defies City Order and Will Not Take Down Massive “Vote for Trump” Sign – Announces MASSIVE Pro-Trump Party on Monday Instead

This week, Sticker Mule CEO Anthony Constantino unveiled a massive, $150,000 ‘Vote for Trump’ sign on top of the tallest building in Amsterdam, NY.

The sign is meant to symbolize American manufacturing coming back to America, with the location being a fitting due to the factory building it is a-fixed on top of being vacant for over 40 years following the closing of Fownes Brothers and Co., a glove manufacturer that shut down U.S. operations in 1984 and moved to China, decimating Amsterdam.

But when Constantino brought Sticker Mule to the city in 2010, things began to turn around. As his company grew to be one of the largest in the printing industry, he began purchasing and revitalizing almost every functional manufacturing building in the city — bringing prosperity to a city long riddled by despair and poverty.

The city was extremely grateful for Constantino, seeing him as a kind of local hero at the time … but apparently the city is now having a change of heart.

Now they are threatening to throw him in jail unless he removes the sign, which is located on his own property!

It all began with a complaint from the city demanding it be removed, as reported by The Post Millennial.

Then Mayor Mike Cinquanti took to Facebook to announce further action.

The Montgomery County Supreme Court granted a temporary restraining order.

I can hardly think of speech more protected then political speech.

Unless it is religious speech.

There are many legitimate instances of city or state ordinances restricting, to some extent, freedom of speech. However, the most protected form of speech, under the founding principles of our nation and repeatedly held by the United States Supreme Court, is political speech.

I might announce I’m closing all operations in the city until the matter is resolved in my favor!

I would also change the sign to read “No job, no money, Call the Mayor!”

but that’s just me….

Just pay every employee and bill with two dollar bills.

That will get the attention of everyone.

It worked for us in the USAF when the locals at Sheppard AFB were treating GIs poorly.

He should start a Gofundme page to raise the money to just keep paying the fines.

I hope he has a plan because he should have been prepared for this being inside of a municipality. The city sign rules are nuts and can be interpreted and enforced any way the officials want. Google street maps shows a similarly-sized sign in the same place that says “FOWNES” so something legal has been there before.

He covered it up after the last threat. From what I have read, he has 30 days from the issuing of the citation to obey or be fined. I’m thinking that on Oct. 7, the covering will be taken off the sign and he will be issued a new citation, which will be useless if he intends to take down the sign immediately after the election since 30 days won’t be up.

Unsurprisingly, the anti-free-speech mayor is a Democrat.

That building is an outstanding landmark. I passed through that town by train, car, and on foot in years past. Last time I was there I enquired about it. A local resident said it was abandoned, but they discovered someone growing reefer inside. The plant light at night gave it away.

Why anyone would open a business in NYS is beyond me.

“Why anyone would open a business in NYS is beyond me.”

His business is world wide. He got a cheap manufacturing location there.

Kind of what I was thinking too. Announce the closing of the business and see how the city deals with that.

"He got a cheap manufacturing location there."

And now the government is coming after him. Perhaps if he opened up a cheap manufacturing location in a friendlier State, he wouldn't have this problem. Do you think a red State would be going after a Biden sign like this? I don't.
